I was almost a customer of http://www.chihuahua-teacups.com but fortunately didn't buy a puppy from Debra. I am a retired federal officer with many years of experience as an analyst/profiler. My First advice to potential buyers that are reading this report is that they should continue taking the right approach of conducting a proper due diligence, and not allow their emotions to become the only driver toward a rash decision.
My wife any I drove for nearly 7 hours today in an effort to purchase one of Debra's pups. Shortly after arriving into Manteca, and before seeing any of the negative reports on this site, we both felt very uneasy about dealing with her.
My second advice is that prospective buyers should truly consider the following as Red Flags set off by the seller/breeder:
1. Won't allow you to see the parents or come to their home.
2. Want to meet in odd places
3. Say they breed Chihuahuas 3.8 and under. This is a careless, reckless breeder! there is no way
to breed down in size.
4. Claims they are "Reputable Breeders" over and over on their site.
5. Talks about other breeders.
6. Never have adult dogs available for adoption. These are the breeders who just turn their dogs
in to the humane society or ponds them off on rescues when they are done with them. Very sad so
watch out when they don't have adults available.
7. Avoid at all cost any breeder who charts adult weight from a newborn puppy.
Impossible! total scammer!
8. Does not have a "Kennel name" or anything you can refer to them as. This is so you won't
