I want you all to know that no one should ever buy a timeshare through Diamond Resorts. To make a long story short we had a small timeshare and we were asked to come to an owners meeting. I asked them if it were a sales meeting and was told no. However, they lied. We were kept in a meeting for an entire day. My husband became extremely upset and had to leave several times to calm down. I told them he had a head injury and could not understand their process (which I have found out since that it is illegal to persue someone with that disability). Finally, after continued pressure we finally decided to upgrade our timeshare with Diamond Resorts. We signed over our existing timeshare and took out a credit card to pay for the balance. We now owe $20,000 thinking we would have more vacation choices. Since then we had tried many times to use our timeshare and found out there were no rooms available even after giving them months in advance to find us a room. However, in calling the resort direct we found out there were rooms available, but Diamond Resorts didn’t have any rooms. Also, our yearly fees for maintenance and taxes doubled in two years to almost $2000.00. We stopped paying our yearly fees since we could not use it and they claim they foreclosed on our timeshare property. After two years of letters to them they refuse to reimburse us for what we paid them, knowing we still owe all that money and couldn’t use their services. Do not use Diamond Resorts!!!!
