I preordered three pairs of leggings from Charlie's Project on 11/11/2016. They were supposed to ship on 11/30. That day came and passed without shipping taking place. They then updated shipping on their facebook to 12/8/2016. Again, that day came and passed. I emailed first on 12/8/2016 asking for an update of shipping, then later again on 12/13/2016. Neither has been replied to. I also tried to submit a post to their facebook group asking when my item would ship, and it was never approved and was ignored, so posted a comment to their facebook page under someone elses post. It was promptly deleted and ignored. Leaving me little hope that I would receieve my items, I filed a complaint with the BBB and disputed the charge with paypal on 12/13/2016. I have heard no response to my BBB complaint, and they are currently ignoring my dispute, which was also escalated the same day due to them knowning about the issue and refusing to respond. As of today, they have yet to respond to the dispute. It seems like they are either trying to buy time, or are being spiteful toward those who asked to cancel and are making them hold out as long as possible to get their refund. They are also in violation of FTC rules which state "“If the seller is unable to ship within the promised time, it must notify you, give a revised shipping date and give you the chance to cancel for a full refund or accept the new shipping date.“ They have been made aware of this both in email and my complaint to the BBB yet still continue to ignore requests for refunds or updates on shipping dates. They are also trying to impose a 25% restocking fee to those who cancel. That also is in violation of FTC rules. Today I filed a complaint with the FTC.

This company is completely unprofessional. I am not the only one having issues. There are literally THOUSANDS of people waiting on leggings with no idea if and when they will ship. Or with requests for refunds that are going unfulfillled. I am not the only one who has had emails and posts to their facebook ignored. Most who have tried to reach out have been ignored. The owner yells harassment at every turn when someone speaks out and initially had called those who requested refunds 'scrooges' because they were tired of waiting for leggings they paid for with their hard earned money and were not getting. Many of the leggings that have not been delivered are christmas prints which people bought to enjoy over the month leading up to christmas. Those leggings will be useless after christmas. Even worse, many were bought as christmas presents. Many people can't afford to drop more money on replacement presents because the company refuses to acknowledge their requests for refunds. They also refuse to take any responsibility in this debacle. Owner Anna is placing blame everywhere but on herself.

I would strongle suggest avoiding this company. They have showed a complete lack of interest in doing right by their customers. Their prints are cute, but it isn't worth the headache of trying to get the leggings from them or a refund.

Don't count on it

I ordered mine 11/5 and have also had no responses. Now I have to buy replacement gifts for Christmas. I understand it's for charity, but I will not order from them again.

I was so excited to find this online store at first but several attempts to make purchases all ended up badly. The website lets users preorder leggings and gives a date that they will be released. Here are my experiences with this company and my purchases: On 12/7/16 I preordered 3 pairs of leggings with an estimated ship day of 12/30. 12/30 came and went and no legging for me. I did not worry too much. I knew they were backed up with Christmas orders so I didn't think much of it. I put in a help ticket on 1/10 when my order was 10 days overdue and never got a response. On 1/20 I received 1 of the 3 pair of leggings I ordered and my order said "fulfilled" as if I had gotten all 3 pairs. I put in another tech ticket and I was ignored again. I did another tech ticket on 1/23 and noone responded.

On 1/26 I got an email notice saying that I was being refunded for the order in the amount of $0 for nothing. This email did not even make any sense. I checked to see if any money was refunded and there wasn't. Another tech ticket went in and was ignored. The owner keeps pushing off the blame on the shipping company and said she hired a new shipping company that would be taking care of all new orders in a timely manner while they sorted through the mess the old shipper left with older orders. Since it looked like I would never get my original order and it was over 4 weeks late I decided to test her "new fast and efficient shippers" by reordering the leggings I ordered on 12/7 now that the website claimed the items were "in stock" and ready to ship.

On 1/24/2017 I reordered one pair of leggings and on 2/6/2017 I ordered the other pair I was waiting on from my original 12/7 order. I waited to see how fast and efficient they would be. You guessed it, no leggings for me. I asked for help on their facebook page numerous times but they have to approve your posts and of course they never approve mine. I pm'd asking about my orders and only got a response once in 2 months of asking for help that assured me they would look into the problem but they never did anything. Through all of this I kept believing that the company was just experiencing growth pains. Their facebook kept putting out notices pushing back shipping. Those orders estimated to ship went from 12/30 to 1/10, and then 1/20, then 1/30. I finally did a claim through PayPal to get my money back on the original order placed on 12/7 since They refused to communicate to my numerous attempts to get information out of them. Of course, they claimed they sent me the initial order even though they shorted me 2 pair.

Paypal has sided with me and they previously cut off their PayPal account due to so many claims being made against the company. I started voicing my experiences on Facebook pages when others asked about the company few days ago. I was certainly not the only customer voicing negative experiences. A LOT of customers are in the same boat as I am. Their facebook page and the BST page is HEAVILY censored. The second someone writes something negative or if someone questions where their overdue order is the moderator, Kayla Shirley, will immediately delete the negative feedback and close the comments on the thread.

Here's the real kicker: Since I started sharing my experiences with other people asking about the company on facebook groups I was immediately removed from the facebook BST page (admin is Kayla Shirley) and I got email notifications today, 2/7/2017, saying that they were cancelling ALL of my orders because of the "confusion over shipping dates" and "extended waiting periods" for shipping. They even cancelled my 1/24/2017 and 2/7/2017 orders with this lame excuse and those orders are only 14 days and 1 day old! So basically they cancelled all of my orders and kicked me off of their facebook page since I was sharing my experience with the company. Classy! I am not the only person this is happening to. And guess what? Even though they cancelled my orders they have not been refunded. Worst customer service ever! It is too bad, really. I love charities but this charity is a huge scam.

I ordered leggings over two months ago. Never got them. They convienly tell you the ESTIMATED dates change. They ignore emails. Horrible "customer service" and a scam all in the name of the woman's 4 year old little boy. Leggings for a cause tugs at your heart strings making you think you are buying something to help out someone in need. They take your money and run. Sad scam. I Hope her and her family enjoy the vacations with all the stolen money!

This is the worst online purchase company I have ever dealt with. They never respond to my multiple emails. I was never ever given a reply, refund, or even an apology. I was directed to their Facebook page from a link on their website to try and get a response. When I politely inquired about the status of my order placed in early November. I was IMMEDIATELY BLOCKED. I reached out to the admins of the page for help, I was harassed and threatened by Kayla Shirley. She informed me that only positive reviews were allowed on the page and anything negative is immediately deleted and the user is blocked. I told her I wasn't saying anything that was untrue, only that my emails have been ignored, I've lost 80$ (I am 60 years old, that's Alot of money) and I didn't know what to do now with my bank. She gave me an attitude and blocked me. PAYPAL HAS STOPPED DOING BUSINESS WITH CHARLIES PROJECT. due to so many people disputing their orders. Charlie's project does NOT want you to get your money back. Anything you read on their website is a biased and fake reviews. If you say anything negative you are immediately banned. This site is a fraudulent scam. No donations are made to any charities. The admins of their page are terrible for this business. Kayla is a bully You are being manipulated into believing you are helping a boy with special needs, but the truth is you're being robbed. Do not order!! This is a scam! They will take your money and not send your order. THEY ARE UNDER INVESTIGATION FOR FRAUD!

I was super excited to get a gorgeous pair of leggings and support a good cause! Was perfectly willing to be patient and wait 2-3 weeks. Within two weeks of the pre-order deadline (11/30) I received the tracking notice (12/12). After that, nothing. I sent emails on 1/3 and 1/11 with no response. I received a sales promo email, to which I responded with a request ANY kind of communication within 48 hours or I would file a chargeback with PayPal. I received response with a tracking number and nothing else. If they had bothered to look at the tracking number, they would have seen that the item was returned to sender (them) A MONTH AGO. Which is what I responded to her, at which point I was told I was being rude. I was then refunded the money. I should have received either a refund or an email when the item returned to them in December. Now I have no leggings and a very bad taste in my mouth from this company. If it weren't a "charity", I would say they should send the leggings anyway for having to deal with their incompetent customer service.

I wanted to make everyone aware of my transaction with Charlies Project.

When you first find their site and read about the mission you are taken in, you see vibrant pictures of a little boy and a great cause that you want to help. Then you read a little bit more on what they offer and you see fun designs, an cute patten for a holiday gift or on our case DOGS on Leggings!

So you whip out your credit card and place the order - knowing full well that your order will be shipped in about 15 days as these are a pre-order with a future ship date. So you wait by the mailbox and wait and wait and wait. Then you start to hear about other people who are waiting and it gets worse from there. You see so many people who have been waiting much longer and nothing

They are currently working with 4-5 different email addresses none of which are being responded to - once you ask the question on social media about your order and where it might be - you are blocked or black listed with yet no responses. I had no choice but to file with my credit card company and wait for the charge back. So I am out a gift, out the time, have the headache and I think I got scammed but i know for sure i got blacklisted.

However if you are one of the lucky ones who has not been blacklisted yet - we have noticed they are giving away leggings on their Facebook groups, now these are legging that people who ordered them months ago are still waiting for.

This company does pre-orders and then doesnt follow through with the product or refunds. Refunds are obtained by going through PayPal. If you email or facebook message any of the people affiliated with this company, you are blocked or ignored. VERY unbusinesslike and unprofessional. I will NEVER order anything from this company again.

I ordered two pairs of Christmas Printed Leggings on 10/30/2016. This was a pre-sell with an estimated ship date of 11/30/2016.

On, 12/08/2016 I contacted the company and inquired about my order. I was informed that the ship date of 11/30/2016 was only an estimated date and that this information was clearly stated on their website.

On, December 10th and 11th the company began posting information on their Facebook page indicating that they were experiencing shipping issues and were working hard to resolve. One of the posts blamed the problem on the striking DHL and UPS Pilots - I beleive this strike was very short lived (around 24 hours).

On, December 12th, a post on the Facebook page asked that everyone who wanted to cancel an order or remove holiday prints to please post their order number and instructions below the post. I posted that I would like one of my two pairs removed. My post was never acknowledged or responded to.

On, December 16th, I received an e-mail stating that one of my pairs had shipped USPS Priority. I was given a tracking number but was unable to track the package (it appeared that the item was stalled somewhere).

I sent an e-mail inquiring about my order on 12/19/16. I received notification that a Help Ticket had been created. On, December 20th I filed a claim with my credit card company. This ticket has not been responded to as of 12/21/2016.

The admins/moderators on the Facebook page have heavily sensored the page not allowing any comments that are about shipping or any complains. I don't think the owners of this company did this on purpose. I simply think they grew too quickly and did not have the knowledge, experience or tools to handle this volume nor do they have the Customer Service skills to deal with 1,000s of angry customers.

Not receiving my product is not the real issue as my credit card protects me. I am upset with the lack of Customer Service and the remarks from the owners and moderators that this is not their fault and they need to everyone to just be nice and stop complaining.

Complete scam, owner is blocking customers asking questions

1) items preordered in early november that were scheduled to ship 11/30 are still not shipped as of 12/21. These are Christmas-themed patterns.

2) owner has posted in her FB group that we could cancel if we no longer wanted the item, and then owner does not respond to cancellation requests. Some cancellation requests have been denied, saying the order already shipped when it only had a label printed after the customer wanted to cancel.

3) owner blocks FB group members who ask order status questions and turns off commenting from all posts except photos of "happy customers"

4) owner closes "support tickets" that requested refunds either without including a response or with a response that the item has shipped, but including no valid tracking information.

5) Items that have been marked Shipped have no tracking numbers. If tracking numbers are included, they show up as not yet being accepted by USPS (Basically, a label was printed and an item never dropped off for shipment)

6) Some items that have shipped are incomplete orders.

This seller has been reported to PayPal and has had her PP account frozen and has also been reported to Shopify and the FTC and the State of Massacutsetts fraud unit. She was previously a Lularoe consultant whose contract was terminated due to her not shipping customers' orders and other questionable business practices.

Stay FAR FAR away.

I was a wholesaler. I use a wholesale website they run and stock. I order gift cards on their website and it populated a discount rate when I purchase over 280.00. I then used those cards to purchase products off their website. Apparently, they do not off discount gift cards. ( their words). Yet they were available on their website where they control products and pricing?? Instead of being a responsibe adult run and professional company, they were sneaky and under handed. They could not take ant responsibility for their action and shifted all blame to me. As if I am responsible for the products they list on their website? They even accused me of an ethics problem. For buying from their website. I should not say They. It’s Anna the owner I corresponded with. Charlies mother, the child the company is named after. She acted emotionally and unprofessional.

I only found out there was an issue when they completely disabled my account, cancelled My pending orders and even stoppied the UPS deliveries returning them to sender ( themselves). I inquired why my account password did not working received an emailing saying that there were gift card discrepancies. Then she informed me they would not honor gift cards nor would they be refunding my mone. Then she went further and sent me a bill saying that I had ordered previously, received that order and their system allowed me a discount I wasn’t entitled to. They stole my money and I have NOTHING to show for it. They are completely unprofessional and unethical. I have all the documentation of all transaction and her email saying she would not refund me. Beware of this company. They are shady.

I ordered pre-order leggings in mid November 2016. They were to ship November 30. One week after November 30th I emailed inquiring about my order because I had not received it and at that point their website indicated that my account was non existent. I never received a response to my message. Eventually I received an email stating orders would be received by Christmas. At this point the company closed their Facebook business page and was apparently only updating through their Facebook group. Several people inquired about their orders on the page only to have their comments removed. They were scolded by the administrators of the Facebook group.

A few of the admin on the group were incredibly condescending, rude, or downright ignorant of law. At this point I sent another email with my concerns and received no reply. At this point the company was claiming in the Facebook group that they were working on emails well after the dates of my messages. In total I sent 3 emails to the company, none of which were ever addressed. I finally reached out on the Facebook group page because I had seen other people receive information about their orders there before admin promptly deleted anything that could be construed as negative. I was told that I was not allowed to ask questions about my order in the group.

Because of the lack of communication with the company and being outright told I was not allowed to ask about my order, I immediately filed a claim and eventually received judgment in my favor from PayPal. The company never responded to my PayPal claim nor did they ever contact me personally except for the comment in the group. When I filed my PayPal claim in December, PayPal escalated the claim immediately. Last week I received an email stating that they had resolved and closed my email complaint. That is not true. I did receive my money back thanks to PayPal, but I do know there are others still waiting for resolution.

I ordered 3 pairs leggings... 2 TC and 1 L/XL (kids). Allowed the requested 10 days for the order to be shipped. Never shipped. Emailed the company (no phone number on the website) and allowed the 5-7 days for responded. No response. Emailed again. Waited 7 days again. No response. I'm out $75, no leggings, no communications.

My complaint is like everyone else's. I should have checked up on them before ordering.

Now there isn't even a FB page.

DIsputed the charge on my c.c.

I have filed with the BBB but better yet; posing as a nonprofit when you are not is a federal crime I believe.

Heading in that direction next.

I hate getting scammed. And by a "non-profit" to boot.

The company's website states merchandise will be shipped within 10 business days of ordering. I placed an order and recieved an email stating it would take "up to 10 business days for my order to ship". Great!

After 14 days and no word I emailed the company. After three days I had no response. I emailed again and went to their facebook page to make a post. However, you can't post to their facebook page. I made a few comments on some posts there which were quickly deleted and I was blocked from the page. I also got a rude message telling me not to contact their customers and I was blocked from responding.

I finally received a response to my email stating it had only been three weeks since I placed my order and it should be shipped "sometime this month". I responded letting them know this is not what their site sayd nor is it what my order confirmation stated. A few days later I received an email stating my order had been canceled per my request and I would receive a refund. I never requested a cancelation and I have yet to receive a refund.

Leggings are okay but not worth waiting 2 months or more.

I really wanted to support this company but after my experience and hearing the experiences of others, I would recommend that you avoid them. Run the other way. Don't let the picture of the adorable child fool you. They have taken my money and the money of so many other people. They will use the excuse that it's the holiday rush, or it's the old shipper and now they have a new shipper. They'll say your leggings are out of stock on the webpage but then they sell them out when they get new stock while the people who preordered STILL don't get them.

I've placed several orders. One was a preorder in the beginning of December--the expected ship date was 12/30. They moved the shipping date to 1/10, then 1/20/ then 1/31. Unless you're on Facebook, you may not know this because they don't mark it anywhere on your order or send you updates. They sent part of the order. Thinking my leggings would arrive from the preorder soon, I ordered another pair and it arrived in two days. I ordered a pair for a family member and that arrived quickly. Still waiting for the pre-order from the old shipper and buoyed by my success with the successful order, I used a coupon and ordered another pair (in-stock) since it was the new shipper. They said to wait 10 days before it shipped. It's been more than 10 business days and now the leggings are sold out. They tell you not to message them but only use email (which is sham because I have 5 tickets, some as old as a month which have all been ignored). I have yet to receive my leggings from early December and it's now February.

I've emailed, I've submitted tickets, I tried asking on Facebook, but the moderators will delete any questions and reprimand customers who ask. They kick people out of the group and block them if they have concerns. They tell you that they will charge you a fee if you cancel your order for the items that you never received. This is probably the most dishonest company I have worked with.

Charlies project is a rip off. I ordered three pair leggings from Charlies project back in December and have not received them. I will never order from them again and I reccmmend people not ever order from them.

This company is suppose to be a fundraising company so you would think they would have some ethics. I ordered two pairs of leggings the first of December. At the end of December I cancelled the order as my son was not dating the girl I bought them for any more. I got a response back that there was a restocking fee for something they had not even shipped?? They were not going to ship intil the 10th of January. I thought this was fraudulant. So I waited for the credit to come through on my credit card which it still has not and today the leggings showed up? Now they say they will not even take them back?? This company should be closed down for fraud. I am contacting my bank to file fraud.

This company takes your money and never delivers. They had multiple PayPal accounts that have since been shut down due to not fulfilling thousands of claims. RUN. RUN far away! They also have terrible customer service !

On November 15th, I purchased a "pre-order" of Christmas leggings. The website stated that they were due to ship on November 30th. Immediately upon receiving my order confirmation, I realized they were the wrong size. I called into the company, but got no response. I sent an email asking them to update the order to the correct size. I received an automated email back stating that they had received my email, and would address it within 48 hours as "ALL EMAILS WILL BE LOOKED AT". I never got any response from that email.

Fast forward 4 weeks - still no shipment. I get an email from them stating pre-orders were taking longer than necessary. If people wanted to cancel their order because they weren't going to arrive in time, simply send them an email and they'd issue a refund, and "donate the leggings".

I replied back to that email, again asking them if they had corrected the sizing on my order, and asking when they would ship.

No response.

I finally receive the leggings the day before Christmas - and they are still the wrong size.

So I call them, no response. I send in an email asking for a return shipping label so that I can send them back, expressing my disappointment at the numerous times I had attempted to correct this, and it had gone ignored (not to mention the leggings shipped 3 weeks after they stated they would).

I get another automated email back acknowledging that they'd received my inquiry, and also asking me to open a support ticket since they have a new "customer support system". So I open a ticket. Its been 13 days, and no one has even looked at the ticket.

Finally, fed up with their UTTER lack of respect for their customers, I file a dispute with paypal. After a week, I get a reply stating that "my order is eligible for a refund, but I have to pay to have it sent back via a trackable method that verifies delivery". So now I have to pay another $7.00 to ship back a $20 pair of leggings that should never have been sent to me in the first place, had this company bothered to have any level of cusotmer support. I'm just utterly disgusted.

I've not gotten a single personal reponse, reply or acknowledgement from anyone at the company. I have a few friends who had the same issue, and when they posted to contact them on the company's Facebook page, their posts were deleted and they were banned from the page.

Its disgusting to me that a company who poses as a sort of charity "buy from us and we'll donate leggings to people in need" has such atrocious disregard for their customers, forcing them to actually file disputes before they will give their money back after failing to deliver.

I ordered a pair of leggings for my daughter for Christmas back in November....Charlies Project charged my credit card and here it is Jan. 2nd, 2017 and i have yet to receive my leggings that i ordered back on November 5, 2016.

I ordered 2 pairs of holiday leggings (one for myself and one for my daughter) and one pair of "in stock" leggings in mid-November. The holiday leggings were a pre-sale, marked to ship November 30. On (or possibly shortly after) November 30, I received an email stating that November 30 was just an estimated ship date, and that I could respond to that email if I wished to cancel my order. At that point, I decided to wait, thinking that at most it would be a week or so later than expected.

After 10 days with no word on my order, I decided to just cancel my order. I responded to the email address as instructed, and received no reply. I attempted to contact via several different methods, and again received no response. On December 19 I received an email with tracking information, saying that my order had partially shipped to include the holiday leggings, but not the leggings that had been marked as in stock. The tracking just sat for two days, doing nothing. Finally, on Christmas Eve, I received my holiday leggings. I was very unhappy by that point, as I had already missed every event that I'd wanted to wear the leggings to. With the complete absence of response to my attempts at contacting the company, I had zero hope of being able to return them at that point, so I decided to just put them on and make the best of it. Color me shocked when the leggings turned out to fall short of the mark. The print seems to be screenprinted on the fabric, so that when they stretch even slightly, the black turns to a weird white-ish blue, making them appear sheer. I am solidly within the size range that I ordered, so they should not be appearing to be stretched to within an inch of their life.

I have very little optimism that I'll receive the "in stock" leggings that have yet to be shipped. I am so disappointed in this company as a whole. I was so eager to support a company that supports worth causes. Obviously, I would not order from them again.

I'll still buy

I have had a couple of wonderful transactions with Charlie's Project preorder. They got overwhelmed with christmas orders and a new warehouse shipping company failed to get their November preorders out during their normal shipment timeframe (Nov 30 -Dec 10) but it does say preorders are not guarenteed during this timeframe but estimated to ship during this timeframe. They are still working on the backlog of order and shipping. Have offered to cancel any Christmas specific leggings from people's orders as well and have started using a ticket system to reply to people requests, etc ..

Due to the issue they have announced after January's preorder is done they will no longer be doing preorders. All orders will be taken from what they have in stock and ship right away which means once the pattern is sold out it's sold out. I'm disappointed with his as Inwas a customer for awhile and like to be able to preorder the ones I'd like and not have to compete to getva pair when they come in stock like with Lularoe and Fabulegs.

I just got my November order today and although they were late I'm okay with it. I knew I'd eventually get from the updates on their Facebook page and their website which said all orders where experiencing delays. Looking forward to the Christmas rush to die down so ordering goes back to normal - inlove Lularoe but hate competing to grab kegginsbir joining 9000 groups for the one pair I have to have so ill stick with charlies Projecf.

Leggings are high quality, not worried about ripping, and super soft. They were worth the wait because I wasn't paying 100.00 or more for the paisley skull design I really wanted but could never get from another company.

Place and order on 11/14/16 was told 3-4 weeks for delivery on 12/5/16 I received another email saying the orders are delayed, I emailed them and never received and actual reply back other than an auto reply. I filed a complaint with PayPal for a refund still waiting for an update for them. FB page is now deleted and can not be found.

Amazing company with a great cause

This company has been up front about their pre order process, their timing of shipments, even the delays they have experienced. It is a shame so many people obsessed with other brand leggings have dragged this company into disrespect with crazy expectations. And most importantly, their leggings are FANTASTIC and worth the wait.

I ordered on Nov18with the understanding some items would ship right away, some after Nov 30 and some after Dec 30. I contacted Charlies Project on Nov 29 and was told they were waiting to ship my in stock items with the Nov 30 items. On Dec 5 I received an email stating "not to worry, Your order is shipping soon". The on Dec 11 I received another email stating "not as fast as St. Nick but your order will be their soon". Still don't have anything!!!! I also contacted FB, 12/17/16'as that's where I first came across Charlies Project site. They must have gotten a standard response from Charlie's Project of shipping being behind because on 12/19/16 they informed me Charlie's Project is behins on shipping!!!! That seem to be their only response....I'd just like to have what I paid for!

Avoiding PayPal claims by marking orders shipped.

Everything about this is a classic scam. Some orders are being sent out so customers think it's legit. But, the vast majority of customers are waiting for orders that were scheduled to ship in November. When someone opens a PP claim, the company promptly says the items has now shipped to try and avoid a refund.
