Ok I just LITERALLY started this past Friday which was my first day of training. I am a single mom with Multiple Sclerosis trying to get my bills caught up and save up some money for expenses for my 1 year old. My usual schedule was to guard at this shopping center which is a really good fit for me because im physically disabled trying to make ends meet you know, at that location I drive a small Mitsubishi sedan with the Champion logos on the outside and all i do is drive around, scan the sensors located at different spots around the property, and do my foot patrols in each store to show my presence to ward off any criminals. Well just last night (Wednesday) i was called in by TEXT MSG, yes text msg, to work at this hotel called The Marriott in San antonio that is off of Alamo St. When i got there i was ordered to park my car a block and a half away at NIGHT when its dark and clearly risky . again im a woman walking by myself to getto just my work post. after i was trained it seemed like alot to remember but i was fine with it BUT as soon as my corporal left right after training me and leaving me to fend for myself the hotel staff gave me a list of duties NOT RELATED to my work. They had me run and place resident portfolios under EVERY SINGLE DOOR in that hotel which is over 750 rooms. After that , I was ordered to run NEWSPAPERS TO EVERY SINGLE ROOM THAT ORDERED IT WHICH WAS 50 ROOMS, and then after that I was also ordered to run to each floor and grab the breakfast orders from each room that had it placed on the knobs. OMG AM I REALLY SECURITY OR THEIR BUS BOY?! I was so furious . When i came home i was limping that my AFO used for my disabled leg had been rubbing inside ny shoe all night. Im all blistered as well and when I called to let them know the Schedular got rude. She is also sarcastic as well. Why would you mistreat your employees by intimidating then at orientation, treating them like **** , and making them work for free at their post? I dont get it.
