Should be 0 stars. Chad is not a handyman, he is a disaster. Do not hire him unless you are okay paying him and then having to hire someone else to clean up his incompetency. Should have done more research before hiring him. Shame on us. Beyond the incompetency, he lashed out inappropriately and it was very uncomfortable and disconcerting.
I was provided a bid on work to be done at my townhome. I was led to believe that Chad was capable of completing the tasks bid on. The work was bid as a job, not by the hour. When I noticed that hinge pins had been installed improperly on hinges that were replaced on a door, I became concerned about the contractor's competency. I also noticed that he was improperly and poorly patching holes in floor baseboard and walls. He was also taking an extraordinary long period time to complete the tasks bid on. When I confronted him with my concerns, he immediately threatened me with a lawyer and lien on my property. He was very belligerent in person and in subsequent text messages. When I received his bill, it was clearly inaccurate, very inflated in price and based upon an hourly rate. I received more threats of a lien being filed on my property. When I hired a contractor to complete the work Chad refused to complete when I questioned his work, I discovered that he had damaged a pipe in a tub drain pipe, which cost me $450 to repair. He also gouged my brand new floor when removing sliding doors to the patio. Those floor boards will need to be replaced at additional cost to me.
Chad is not only imcompetent, but he is also dishonest and a bully. He bullied both my son and me when we tried to reason with him over payment of the bill. I paid him more than I should have, but he no longer bullies and badgers us for money. I am filing this report in an attempt to keep him from ripping off another unsuspecting individual/family. Don't be taken in by his seemingly honest and reasonable fees. He is anything but honest and very incompetent!!

He gave me a lower than average quote than others out there to get my attention, then he asked me for more than half of money upfront, then he agreed to as much as he could get from me up front. He then pretended working in my house for few days, however he was very slow with most of the time skipped out from work and disappeared, when I would come to see the job site most of the time he wasn't there, he left all garbage and waste in front of my property without removing them and damaged my grass and garden with disposable cements glued in the garden everywhere.
Few days after he got my money up front he gone disappeared without noticed and without any conflict or argument between us, he left me in state of shock. He did not return my calls or text messages until I sent him a text message that I would take legal action against him. And only at that time he demanded for even more money and wrote me that I would never hear from him again.
