I received a letter in the mail saying I won $8,631,947.11 cash prize and asked for $20.00 processing fee in which I had sent back in money order transaction. It stated they had to receive it back by March 29, 2016 or cash prize would be forfeited. I even paid extra through postal service to assure it would get delivered by the due date. Now with it already into April I have yet to heard anything back from them.
I received the same letter and it stated that I also was getting $8,631,947.11 and the deadline was March 29th. I called the Better Business Bureau today and they stated that it was a scam and the address wasn't as the stated. They are now reporting this.
It didn't say how much I actually won, but it says there is an "Additional prize eligibility of $8,631,947.11". There is a deadline of March 29, 2016 (Today!) to send in a $20 processing fee, via cash, check or money order. I'm surprised they didn't ask for bank information, lol! Like I am going to send these scammers ANYTHING! If you have to pay to get anything you have "Supposedly won", then you're getting ripped off! Not me! No thanks
Certified Distribution Specialists are scammers. If you have to send money to recieve anything you have won, you are getting ripped off! Don't send anybody money unless you are purchasing goods!
Express Notification envelope arrives in mail. Address Label says 'Official Notification.' (My husband got same notice about 2 weeks ago).
You open the envelope and highlighted you see (your name) Verified Amount! $8631,947.11. Highlighted in the paragraphs are 'guaranteed cash prize winner!' and 'you have won a cash prize.' Letter goes on to highlight 'All you have to do is submit the attached Cash Claim Form and the money is yours. Period.'
There is a cash claim form, and with the signature box you acknowledge 'I have enclosed a $20 processing fee'
Read the fine print on the back of the letter and you will see 'Odds of winning the One Dollar ($1.00) Prize are 1 in 1.' Whereas the odds of winning (any sort of money that would get your processing' fee back) $50 or more 'are 1 in 3,000,000.'
Best of luck to all the 'cash prize winners' out there who fork over a $19 fee (stupid person tax) to get their $1.
That means, CDS is expecting to take in about 57 million and pay out somewhere around 9 million. Factor in the cost of overhead and staffing with some business expense...oh, yeah, donn't forget postage. I am sure their company would not consider this a scam....and it's probably not even illegal, but it is definately a rip-off!
They send me letters stating i have won and send 20.00 to get it.It is a scam.I need an attorney for help.Bonnie Glennville Ga. [email protected]
I received several correspondence from this company, signed by a Saul Gilbert, director Certified Distribution specialist. Each one stated that I had won money and that in order to process I needed to send $25, $30.( I am writing this on behalf of my father who has been deceived. He sent around $140 each time that they asked for a check. )
I did this by check and they therefore have my bank account number.
I was sent a letter which said I won.$1,978,779.77 . I was asked to mail a processing fee of $30.. to receive my payment. I sent the $30. Immediately. It asked to send processing fee within 14 days. It guaranteed payment of winnings to me alone. I kept the letter and envelope it was sent in. It was mailed from zip code 11561 sent First Class Mail, prsorted, U.S. Postage Paid, Permit No.37 the company name is Certified Distribution Specialists, PMB 600 1488 Deer Park Ave., North Babylon, N.Y. 11703 I am currently waiting for my payment.
