If you sign up online for a CPR class, which he advertises as being American Red Cross Certified you will be required to read through several pages of "terms and conditions" and sign off on them. Basically, once you accept those terms, YOU'RE SCREWED since there are NO REFUNDS. PERIOD. Even if THEY cancel the class! They take your cc info and DL# and charge your card.
My daughter was supposed to get a link for the online portion of her CPR class which never came. After she inquired where the link was, she was informed that the class 'may be cancelled' and we will ALLOW you to go to a different class. Unfortunately, as a college student paying her way through college, she needed the certification for a job and was away at school for their next class and she requested a refund so that she could take the class elsewhere.
That set off lengthy emails stating that they will "allow her to take another class" (even though she is away--if she can't take the class, go elsewhere), and to read the "terms and conditions".
I then posted a negative review on their Facebook page, stating the fact that they would take $70 from a college student and not provide a class. This set off a barrage of bullying and threatening emails to my daughter at school, threatening legal action for a social media comment made by me because it wasn't in compliance with their "terms and conditions" therefore, NO CLASS FOR YOU!!! THEY are in breach of contract and absolutely REFUSED to refund the $70!
Justin Gala (hiding under the name Jay Gee on FB) then proceeded to barrage me with insulting comments on my FB messenger threatening me as well! I honestly think that this was all a SCAM from the get-go, since this class was scheduled for Labor Day Weekend and the owner, Justin Gala, had NO INTENTION of having the class and hid behind the pages of his "terms and conditions" to FRAUDULENTLY keep our money!!! And Justin Gala is a Special Education Teacher in NJ?? I cannot even imagine what this BULLY does to those poor defenseless students if he does this to his valuable clients! I have reported him to the BBB, and the cc company, and will take him to small claims court for not fulfilling a contractual obligation. This A$$ thinks he can take people's money and it's legal!???
