Cellular Sales Reviews

BUYER BE WARE! THIS STORE IS NOT A VERIZON CORPORATE STORE! My wife and I recently upgraded our old phones at this store. We have been loyal Verizon customers for many years. The associate we worked with seemed knowledgeable and accommodative, so no complaints upon first impression. It was our understanding that we were working with an official Verizon store based on the large "Verizon Wireless" sign prominently displayed above the entrance. To our surprise, we would later learn that it was in fact an "authorized Verizon Retailer" that charges excessive fees for its services in addition to Verizon corporate's standard fees. This was NEVER disclosed to us during our 2+ hour time with the associate, who even graciously offered to put screen protectors on our new iPhones along with assisting us with the transition and setup process. Little did we know that each screen protector ended up costing around $50 each and with the setup of our two new iPhone 15's and an Apple Watch 9, the total bill charged by Cellular Sales came to over $400!! I want to emphasize that none of these additional costs were EVER disclosed to us during the sales process. In fact, it wasn't until AFTER we cleared out our old phones and watch and set up the new devices that we were told we owed these fees. In addition, the associate failed to apply the trade-in discounts we discussed, an issue we are still attempting to correct with Verizon corporate. As it currently stands, we essentially gave them an iPhone, Google Pixel and an Apple Watch 6 for free, which was counter to what we discussed with the associate.

Based on our recent experience, it is clear to us that Cellular Sales engages in misleading sales practices beginning with the large Verizon Wireless sign on the store front that fails to clearly represent itself as "CELLULAR SALES - Authorized Verizon Retailer" and ending with the associate not disclosing the additional fees for its services until the very end.

Went in to inquire about up grading my phone. Asked if thier prices were the same as verizons online price. Was told yes.

I purchased an upgrade to my phone. Went home was not happy with it and returned a few hours later. The agreement

said I had 14 days to return if I was not happy. I ended up getting a little more expensive phone and they charged me a restock

fee for the first phone. I should had protested more but I didnt. Then I go home and realize the phone I got was $10 less on verizons

web site. All said and done I feel I was scammed out of $45. I now realize they are not a corporate verizon store but only had the look of one.

I feel the sales rep was not being up front by not answering my question about prices truthfully. And there is the restock fee which there was no

mention of and it is not mentioned in the paperwork.

We purchased brand new Moto Z 2 Force, but 4 days later another salesman said no,. It is not new. I can and will upload the paperwork we got from Cellular Sales. A 3rd party retailer for Verizon. Chad even Tex my phone stating he needs the phone money today?? Why did Verizon just not send a bill. He even text it from his personal cell phone. Told us to take the money to some other salesman and he would get it from them??

I would like to upload the documents we got from the on sever occasions. None of the home phone numbers are correct. Say upgrade, change in service, and new device. On a Obama phone?

I went to the Verizon store that I normally go to -- to pay my monthly bill to Verizon.

I walked into the store -- the VERIZON sign is still above the establishment, however on the door which I didn't notice until after I left it said CELLULAR SALES.

I was greeted at the door and asked which payment I would be making.. I told them pre-payment, I was then asked for my name -- which I though was odd, however I gave the person my name then he asked for my phone number - giving it to him.

He then asked how much I wanted to pay. I stated that it is $50.00 and 75 cents as tax is the normal fee. He stammered and asked 50 or 75 dollars... I said 50 dollars and 75 cents. I gave him $55.00(fifty five dollars). He then said that that was a $1.00 (one dollar) convenience fee because I was paying in cash. I asked a convenience fee when paying cash.. he said yes --I understand that are usually fees paying by credit card but have never had a fee for a cash payment.

Then he stated that he was unable to give me change back - he asked the other employees standing around sitting on the counters and joking -- which I had never experience when it was a true Verizon store. He indicated that Verizon has been bought out by this company. I am not sure and have not looking into this as of this moment. I wanted to get this posted first.

If this is the case then I am going to cancel my phone service with Verizon because this was one of the worst rip-offs, poor excuse for customer service and misrepresenting a national company that I personally have ever experienced in my life.

Fpr those that are reading this -- this company is the ultimate in scam. I just looked at my 'receipt' if you call it one. It states: payment balance will expire in 60 days -- To carry your balance forward, simply add more funds before the expiration date and that my account and any existing balance will be carried over to the new expiration date. No voids, refunds, credits allowed. So in otherwords not only did I get ripped for a dollar fee but the other $4.00 balance will be gone also. Some of you may be sayng 'No big deal it is only $5.00 five dollars, but if you multiply $5.00 five by how many millions of customers or even thousands of customers this can add up to a bunch of money.

I carry a small balance on my account in case I get a call from outside the country which I have to pay by the minute useage. If they are not going to allow me to carry this balance then I am going to cancel my phone and plan with Verizon and go with another carrier. Or if this is the new way that Verizon is taking payment through this rip-off company then the same result is going to happen. I have been a Verizon customer for 12 years now and the phone service is good and the coverage is good. But the customer service is horrid in this respect and I hope this new company and change will result in a big loss of business for Verizon. Nothing was said up front to me before the transaction and apparently the store employee didn't care one way or the other... another American business may be going down the tubes... which is a total shame..

CellolarSales is a contractor for Verzion. It is a con company. They will tell you false information to get you to sign a contact.

Then when you go on the Verizion Wed site. You find you have been told false information and have a exorbinant bill. Nothing that you wanted or ordered.

You only have 48 hours in Georgia to VOID the contract. Then when you go back to void the contract they will delay, Bs you and intimidate you.

It is best to take a witness with you. Don't believe anything they tell you. Demand the contract be Terminated and get a receipt. It is berter to take a witess with you and have them write down everything that is said to you.

I went to the local Verizon Store with my PAID FOR iphone because it would not hold a charge. Joseph, the sales rep. said they had a special deal going on for a free Verizon 4G phone. he said it would not cost me anything, all I had to do was pay for the sales tax and he would give me a rebate certificate for $100.00 to cover the cost, activation was was waved. When I finally recieved my bill, it showing a $25.00 a month fee to total $600.00 for the price of the phone. After mutiple phone calls and trips to the store to have this resolved, I am still hanging in limbo. i have NO intentions of paying for this phone that I was assured was free.

DONT SHOP HERE!! THis is not a Corporaste Verizon Store!!!

There is a big difference between corporate owned and operated vs Verizon Wireless "authorized retailer."Verizon's corporate stores have a standardized 30 Worry Free Guarantee policy that offers a new phone or money back. The return policies of authorized retailers may differ (I had 15 days). Authorized retailers can offer different prices (my phone cost more=higher monthly payments) on phones and accessories, while VZW direct agents have standardized pricing (and they don't get incentive kickbacks like "Authorized Retailer" agents). Only corporate locations can offer VIP upgrade discounts if you're enrolled in the program, and not all authorized retailers honor the Early/Annual Upgrade option.

Go to Harbor Center store or Kiosk in Annapolis Mall. They are the "real" stores, and you are treated fairly there. Can't say the same for this place!

Just noticed an entry on my bank statement, no idea who it was. Showed up as "ESH*TECHPROTECT PREM 844-400-0452 GAUS". Researched, many references to fraud and shady business practices. No reference in receipts from phone sale other than a single line mention under the phone SKU. Was not discussed at sale and no documents provided in bag.
