We hired Tony Catone to do some work at our home last year. He did a lot of work for us, some of it good and some very bad including faulty installation of a slate floor. Addionally, Tony and his crew rarley cleaned up after themselves and left the site a mess for long periods of time.
Tony always asked for money up front for labor. We always purchased the materials ourselves. He seemed to have cash flow problems so we would often give him money towards labor in advance. Unfortunately, as soon as he received a payment, he would delay, stop returning calls and stop showing up. Eventually he would get the job done but rarely in the time frame promised.
The last thing we hired Tony to do was in July of 2017. We paid him up front for a job he promised to complete the next day. He never showed up after repeated calls to him and promises by him to do the work. Finally we had to take him to court. We got a judgment for $2500 almost a year ago. None of it has been paid.
Tony Catone (Contractor) ripped me off again. Tone ripped me off in 2011 by not installing insulation under the vinyl siding he put up at my house although he clearly indicated on his estimate that he would. I found out by accident that he hadn't and took him to Court.
Recently my roof shingles are sliding off the roof. He installed the roof in 2012 at same time as the vinyl. When we called him he denied that he had the work although I have a paid estimates from him. Today I have a contractor at my house re-installing my whole roof and fixing all of the other problems such as a whole row of shingles not being nailed to the roof, etc. He is untrustworthy and non-dependable and in my opinion a thief. The new roof will cost me over $8,000.
Stay away from this contractor, he will rip you off.
