DO NOT put your family or relatives in this care home. The owner, Denise Jack, makes nearly $100,000 a month from the residents of her 2 care homes, yet only employs one caregiver for all the residents that she pays the minimum wage and relies on help from unpaid students who don't even speak good English and nor do most of the caregivers. I have a paralyzing neurological condition and I stayed there and had to call 911 multiple times for help, both from the police and ambulance because my health and safety were at risk. Denise is changeable and unreliable, her behaviour towards both me and the caregivers was abusive and controlling, and her husband Patrick is rude and ignorant. She advertises the home as one for dementia patients only because they are cheap and easy to look after because of their reduced mental capacity. She never does anything nice for them or takes them on any trips, just leaves them sitting in a dark room together fighting with each other. She charged me an extra $500 a month for my supposedly high care needs but I was lucky to get one shower a week. In addition, she wouldn't let me book the DATS bus under my own name and made me pretend that I was one of the other residents which was fraudulent. When I left I reported her to DATS for fraud. This home should be closed down.
