Bought a new phone at carolina west about 6 months ago, the last of many phones bought thru carolina west over the past 20 + years of being a loyal costomer, started to have problems in first week as touch screen lock function quit working, Phone was constantly pocket dialing people. i took the phone to carolina west and explained the problem, agent took the back of the phone off and said unit was wet appearing to be handcleaner inside unit, i explained i had never had the unit near any water source but agent told me he could do nothing to help me, i left store,
After another week of pocket dialing contacts i went back to the store and asked if i could et a new simple phone if i went back under a two year contract, agent said no i would have to pay a 100 dollar fee, i left store dissapointed again,
I will be paying carolina west a $50 dollar fine and canceling my wifes phone this week with carolina west as i have already bought her a new phone with another company at a much better deal, I am tempeted to refuse to pay carolina west any more and change my phone company also but my credit is perfect and i do not want to cause credit problem because of a bad company with poor equipement and service. I am trying to find a used carolina west phone i can buy cheap just to get me thru another 18 months of my contract so i can leave carolina west and not look back.
Just like another report on ripoff any time i would get a new phone my first bill with all of the extra charges would make your blood boil, why was i dumb enough to stay with this company so long as they did not show any appreciation for the years of business when i had a problem.
I took the phone to a repair shop and was told it would cost more to fix than it was worth and they had herd many complaints about carolina west
My only enjjoyment now is telling my new clients several every week who are moving into the area from other areas or from out of state many of who ask what phone services are located here and who do i recommend, my statement has changed from I use carolina west to do NOT use carolina west
