04/06/2019 Dispute: Carol Tuttle and website: ct.liveyourtruth.com To whom it may concern: On 3/4/19, I purchased an online class from Carol Tuttle on the website ct.liveyourtruth.com for $69.00. The class was a 4 week class. On April 3rd, I was locked out of the website and it no longer recognized my log in – so I thought, well, I guess that’s the end of my class.
The next day, April 4th , I see that Live Your Truth aka: The Carol Tuttle Healing Center has made another debit on my checking account for $69.00. This was an unauthorized debit made on my account without my knowledge or permission and without a purchase – they did not even send a cursory email to let me know. Maybe they were hoping I would not notice? I certainly did.
I went back to the live your truth website and looked at my account – and low and behold – they have decided to change my account to automatic monthly billing for $69.00 a month. I can see that they have my credit card on file, but the website would not allow me to edit or delete my credit card information. Very shady business practices, to say the least.
Carol Tuttle was holding my credit card hostage while placing my account on automatic billing without my consent and without notifying me that this was done. The website has no customer service phone number or address and the only way to contact customer care is via email. I sent multiple emails disputing the charge and the fact that they were holding my credit card hostage.
I received multiple generic emails stating only "Your account has been updated. Thank you for letting us serve you.” Thankfully I was able to dispute the charge through my bank and put a stop payment on all transactions from The Carol Tuttle Healing Center website. I also had to cancel my bank card and have another reissued to prevent them from tapping my account again and again.
My bank has credited back my account the $69.00 and is launching a fraud investigation against The Carol Tuttle Healing Center. I have to say that I’m surprised and very disappointed that a woman whom calls herself a spiritual teacher has proven to be so untrustworthy and irresponsible. Carol Tuttle claims to only want to help people to heal and yet she has set up a business website to intentionally steal from unsuspecting customers.
Not a very savvy business woman, in my opinion. I write this letter to warn other customers to be wary of Carol Tuttle and her shady business practices, as well the on-line "healing center” labeled as "Live Your Truth.” Sincerely, Carla De Luca
