We paid him $13,000 upfront for the search. He did not provide any viable candidates. After a while, our needs changed, and we asked him to pause the search, with his promise and contractual obligation to resume it at a later date for no additional fee. When we asked him to resume the search, he refused. When we asked for a refund, he very rudely refused, saying never to contact him again. After repeated calls and emails from us, in November 2023 he agreed to resume the search but rudely stated, "I’ll get to work – but don’t bother to check in. I’ll give you updates as I see fit." He has not responded to any calls or emails since and has not sent one candidate. We would like a refund and for him to be held accountable to protect others from this scam.
