Cardiac Solutions is a Ripoff. I worked for Cardiac Solutions for a little over a year. The management was horrible, and there were no signs of good ethics. It has been 6 weeks since I stopped working at Cardiac Solutions and Cardiac Solutions still has not paid me for the last two weeks of work.
Beware of Cardiac Solutions. Thank goodness they did not kill me. Stay away from Cardiac Solutions. If you want assembly line medical care, and no solutions this is what you can expect at Cardiac Solutions. Had been a patient of this medical practice since 2009, when I found myself in the ER at Del Webb Hospital in what was called A-Fib. Many more episodes of A-Fib, A-Flutter, PVC's Tachycardia, and other arrhythmia's always waking me out of sleep in middle of night. At one point I ask my Cardiac Solution Physician why this was always happen in the middle of night. His reply was that when most heart attacks happen between 11pm-3am. Honestly Cardiac Solution did zero to find the root cause of my electrical problem, and at one point their Electro-Cardiologist suggest a ablation. Yes they did testing but no test was ever done in their office. Their assembly line medicine involved being seen by a PA or Nurse Practicer, and then the real doctor would pop in for a minute or two, and on to the next patient Finally in 2015 I began thinking there has to be something causing all of these middle of the night episodes after another night in the ER.Went cross town to another group of Cardiologist that were recommended for just a second opinion. This group is diagnosticians, interested in finding cause, not just doing triage and keeping you coming back to making money billing your insurance, and getting your co-payments. The new cardiologist spent 40 minute with me listing to my history, examining me, looked at old ekgs & records. In 10 minutes the new doctor smiles saying I think I know what is the problem. Sleep Apnea causing lack of oxygen was triggering my heart's electrical problems. He did a bunch of tests, change medication, later a sleep study overnight in a sleep lab confirmed I have server obstructive sleep apnea. Now I use a Auto-PAP at night, and have not been hospitalized since using the Auto-PAP. Wonder why the doctor at Cardiac Solutions never explored seeking the cause of & behind the electrical problems? Cardiac Solutions has 4 locations and all are owned and operated by the same doctors. My first visit to Cardiac Solutions was a disaster! They had already cancelled and moved a previous appointment and that was a foreshadow of their lousy service. I drove my 96 year old mother to the address that my wife had given me. Unloaded Mom and she slowly shuffled with me up to the lobby at the center of the building, arriving on time for our 2:15pm appt. There was no directory in the lobby, no signs and all the inside doors were locked. It took us a few minutes to figure out that the entrance is outside and at the West end of the building (A little sign on the wall of the lobby would have been helpful). Half way around the building, I had to run ahead and get a wheel chair because Mom was running out of steam. (she is a heart patient after all) The staff made me leave my driver's license just to borrow a wheel chair. Add all this together and we were now about 15 minutes late.
Stood in line for 2 minutes waiting to be able to sign in. The staff then informed me that since we were over 15 minutes late for the appointment we would have to reschedule for another day. I explained that we were in the lobby on time and were only late because of their lack of a simple sign telling us where their office entrance was. I also pointed out how difficult it is to get my Mom out and about, as well as my missing an afternoon of work. My protests fell on deaf ears. They didn't care and my only option was to bring her back another day. If the office staff is allowed by the physicians to be this callous about patients, then why should I expect patient care by the physicians to be any better? I think there are other cardiologists in the valley who really want to help their clients rather than inconvenience them. I will be finding another place to take Mom for her heart care.
Dr. Caplan is the "worst of the worst!" He did an angioplasty on my husband at Boswell Hospital and was released by the doctor too soon. After we got home, my husband was bleeding profusely and I had to call an ambulance to get him back to the hospital. They said he would have died if he would not have been transported back there so quickly. It took him over 6 months to recover. He ended up with an aneurysm in his very swollen, swelled leg and was on crutches for a long time. Please beware!
In February of 2017, I went through the cardiac protocol in Sun City West, Arizona. Due to insurance, I had to see a cardiologist, Dr. Joseph Caplan. He had not seen my discharge report, which said I did NOT have a heart attack. He insisted that I needed an emergency bypass operation. I said no. He stormed out the door. I was still holding my hospital discharge papers, all of them. I went for a second opinion. In another State. There was nothing wrong with my heart, they advised against any invasive procedures, and said to exercise, lose weight and take some supplements. I also received some IV chelation therapy.
Two subsequent heart scans (non-invasive) showed that I had reduced my calcium score by over 200 points, 1 artery was clearing out, another was 70% cleared, and the "bad" one was over 30% better. I learned that bypass operations did not really extend life. I learned that if I simply ate right with no animal products whatsoever, I would be better than if I had the operation.
I also learned that most bypass patients, about 6 months afterwards, often have a personality change due to the heart lung machine which actually clogs the brain arteries with fine amounts of debris. It was best I did not have the operation which was almost forced on me by a money greedy doctor who lied to me. He was simply like a used car salesman.
Do NOT go to this this doctor even if you are having a heart attack! Please know that I absolutely HATE leaving a bad review but feel that it is my duty to warn other people against going to Dr. Caplan. I found his practice to be the most predatory and aggressive. The staff is rude and when they screw up the appointment dates, they will blame the patient.
