We signed a contract with Captivate Media LLC wherein Captivate agreed to provide a number of services, the most important being the generation of sales leads that would be paid for on a "cost per sale" basis: that is, if a sale resulted from one of the leads generated by Captivate, Captivate would be paid a fixed dollar amount which is set out in the contract.
An up-front fee of $1350 was paid at contract signing on September 3rd, 2017 to cover the cost of "initial set up and products for your marketing campaign". There is a list of deliverables in the contract, most of which were never completed. The contract also contains the following guarantee: "You will have a 90 day money back guarantee if you do not receive verifiable leads/contacts who are requesting estimates for your services."
I personally spent a good deal of time sending Brendan Hall at Captivate detailed information about the services he would be marketing for us, and passed along knowledge that we had about the services, potential target markets, sample ads, etc. As of December 4th, 2017, we did not receive any verifiable leads/contacts. The work on the "marketing campaign" promised in the contract was shoddy at best (we are in the IT industry and are qualified to make this judgement) and very few of the promised deliverables were implemented.
I contacted Brendan Hall (Direct 631-459-6013) several times, pointing out the deficiencies and lack of performance. He discovered an issue with the phone call forwarding on the site Captivate developed (something that Captivate should have tested and discovered at least one month prior). He indicated that he would fix this and make good on the deliverables. I have not heard from him since December 7th, 2017. We have yet to receive a verifiable lead.
Brendan and Captivate know nothing about marketing. They have no real expertise in anything related to the Internet. They are looking for a quick buck.

When I contacted Brendan to exercise my 90 days guarantee because I did not get any leads, he did not respond. I went to my bank to dispute the payment since he did not respond to all my messages. He sends my bank fraudulent documents claiming I got some leads and phone calls so I'm not entitled to the guarantee. This business is a big scam. I should have followed the warning I got from the internet about his company before I signed up with him. This man needs to be stopped from hurting small businesses. He is a liar and a scammer.
