Ted, a financial advisor and host of the Capital Allocators Podcast and Course, has been using his position and connections in order to gain access to exclusive investment funds that he would not have been able to invest in otherwise.
Specifically, as a former employee I watched Ted leverage his role for Capital Allocators to build relationships with fund managers and investors, instead of help others. He then uses these connections to get himself and his clients into coveted funds that are normally closed to outside investors or have high minimums that his clients do not meet, which causes them to take more risk than their portfolios warrant, leaving very high consequences if they fail (which happened to me).
Getting special access goes against industry regulations and puts Ted in a major conflict of interest situation. He is using his media platform and position to benefit himself, which is unethical and puts others at risk.
