Cane Island Pet Spa Reviews

I saw a post elsewhere online stating a customer caught Lauren Green hitting a dog on the head with her scissors. That was me. I came by to pick up treats for my dog and asked a lady if she had a bathroom I could use. She opened the door, pointed to the bathroom. While she remained out front, I suddenly heard in the next room a woman screaming "stop, stop, stop, stop" over and over. I heard a dog squeal 3 times so i poked my head around the partial opened door and saw a blonde young woman hitting a white medium sized dog on the head very hard.

I quickly ran to the front to call for the lady in the front, explaining what's happening and she proceeded to rush to the back and asked the woman what was going on. The blonde woman denied anything was wrong.

The lady came back up to the front, thanked me, explained she was the owner and would immediately deal with the situation.

She asked that I stay while she kept her door open to the back and made a phone call asking for someone to come to the shop as she needed urgent help, stating something lik "a customer saw Lauren abusing a dog and the customer is willing to stay with me until you're here".

The owner asked if I would be willing to write up a statement and provide information. Should they go to the police, they would appreciate my contact information.

Later, I found out the woman - Lauren Green - was fired shortly after this incident.

I found out through one of my friends at Snappy's restaurant next door that the owner had a seizure and was rushed to the ER. Her family closed the business early 2017, presumably because of the owner's health.

Now I find out from the same friend that the woman I saw abusing the dog was the new owner of the grooming shop at the same location. I am cautioning everyone to stay clear. This woman appears to be friendly, of course people are friendly. It sounds like she has tremendous rage issues. I fear any dog left alone in the woman's care without constant supervision could end up dying one day.

Stay away from Cane Island Pet Spa - 5805 Hwy Blvd. in Katy, Texas. The owner, Lauren Green is crazy and dangerous.

Please read in full! The owner, Lauren Green is abusive to dogs and is exceptionally manipulative. She's a con artist at it's finest. She scams people into thinking she's some sweet, kind person but reality is --- she's horrific and as close to a sociopath as it gets. GO TO THE SOURCE!!!

She was let go at Old Town Animal Hospital. Anyone wants the truth - ask Dr Hicks and his wife who work there! They will absolutely be honest with you as to the type of person Lauren Green truly is!

She was also fired from Katy Critters (the same location she now has her shop at) - after only 4 weeks of working there. I was a customer sitting at the back wall @ Katy Critters shop when a young lady (I now know her name was Kayla Bundy) - walked in to talk to Lauren who was the groomer at Katy Critters.

Lauren was expecting Kayla and KNEW that her dog Ellie was a gift from make a wish foundation because Kayla was dying and in need of a liver transplant.

Lauren proceeded to scream at Kayla how her dog "was not a puppy and there was no way Lauren would honor the puppy price she quoted to her on the phone earlier". Kayla left in tears. I spoke with the owner of Katy Critters and asked what she was going to do about it.

Two days later, I heard Lauren Green was caught by another customer who went into the back to use the bathroom - hitting a dog on the head with her scissors. Needless to say, I understand Lauren was fired from those two reasons and she was also leading people to believe she was the owner of Katy Critters. She also conned staff at Old Town to send her grooming clients. Old Town Animal Hospital and Dr. Hicks needs to talk to their staff and warn everyone what type of employee they had on their hands and how crazy Lauren was to them.

I'm sure they are leery of any "lawsuit" issues but there is another true story out there that Lauren harmed a little poodle and blamed her bather @ Old Town. The owner of the poodle has no idea it was Lauren who hurt her dog. Fact - she was the only person in the room at the time and ran with the dog to Dr. Hicks and lied about it. She's since told various stories about the dog. There was another man who would help at Old Town who also saw Lauren one day hit a dog on the head with her scissors and she threatened the man, telling him she would claim he was sexually harassing her if he told anyone. He still went to Dr Hicks about what Lauren did to that dog regardless of the threats Lauren said to him because he was a dog lover and was scared she would kill a dog one day.

So go to the source. Ask both owners of Old Town Animal Hospital (ask for Mr or Mrs Hicks).

I understand the only reason Katy Critters closed is because of a heartbreaking medical issue. Apparently, the owner has a brain tumor and is close to dying so they moved away to be closer to their families.

It's revolting to see this scary, sociopathic woman, Lauren Green being anywhere near animals knowing the truth about who she really is after seeing it with my own eyes last year. Don't believe me? It's simple - make some phone calls.

Con artists are very very talented at hiding who they are in order to get what they want. Otherwise the rest of us good people would be able to spot them in a heartbeat.

We see enough TV news to know con artists are usually the "nicest" people we'd ever meet. That's because they want what they want and will stab you in the back to get it.

Kayla's mother name is Cambre Bundy - a great Realtor in the Katy area. Contact Cambre and asked her what happened in early June 2016. Katy is a small town. Lauren will be exposed for what she is. It's only a matter of time before all the truth comes out.

Please turn this negative, horrific experience around for Kayla Bundy and donate to her medical needs. Contact her mom, Cambre Bundy for information to help this young girl. She's fighting for her life and in need of a liver transplant.
