We have had non stop repair issue with this vehicle since days after purchase. We took it in for it burning oil over a month ago and they blamed it on the oil change place that we had a oil change at. The Oil change place is not at fault this car had major engine issues prior to us purchasing it they just did not disclose them to us. We have been complaining about the car burning oil for awhile and when it was under warranty they said it didnt need the engine replaced. Now that our warranty has expired now we need it replaced. We have had the car exactly 6 months and cannot drive it and still owe 8k on it. They refuse to work with us. They sold us a bad car and now were stuck with it. I have contacted the BBB and a attorney and I hope that someone can get them to own up to their mistake and repair this engine.
Ive made 5 phone to Frank Stevens the Executive Manager at Camelback Kia and he refuses to return my calls. He has everyone telling me he is not in the office. However, a friend that works there has stated he is avoiding my calls. He is avoiding my calls bc he knows he sold us a bad car and he knows this engine should have been replaced before the warranty expired.
I am a victim of my own stupidity and Camelback Kia participating in it. I received a inheritance from my mother and the car I had was on it's last leg and wanted to get a replacement so I went with my sisters friend to check out the cars at Camelback Kia. I liked the Kia Rio. It was the striped down version that has a MSRP starting at $15,885 but ended up paying cash $24,279.97 I trusted the people at Camelback KIA and my sisters friend. My husband was not aware of what I did until he came home from work. He took a quick look at the contract and almost had a heart attack on the over costs.
My husband and I went back with me to the dealership to review the deal. This is what we understand:
1. Appearance Package/Protection Package of $599 each discount total of $1198 For door edge film guard ($7.99), plastic finger guards ($5.99) and nitrogen filled tires.($12-$40) Total of 25.98-53.98 if purchased on my own
2. MPP Club Plus $1695 Paintless Dent Repair (Minor Dings) Tire/Wheel road hazard (Normally $40) Windshield Repairs (No replacements)
3. Alarm $495
No remote door unlock switches came with the car. Called .Rockledge Securities who is on the window sticker and they said it may have not been installed

After the deal was reviewed with Kareene Jones the dealership declined to do no other action except extend MPP Mechanical Service Plan (Service Contract) to 84/75,000 Based on our figures we are overcharged $7199.25 Hindsite is 20/20. I tried some resolution first with Camelback KIA before posting online review.
My 19 year old was ripped off by Camelback Kia Phoenix... added fees and services that were discussed caused his first car purchase to become very unsatisfactory. We contact the dealership and was told because he signed the documents it was basically too bad... they added an additional 1900 to the sales prices.. one fee was a 600 charge for tint that was already on the car when we looked at it.. I was told they do that on all cars... they are nothing but a ripoff dealership and after reading reviews it appears it happen way to often and they need to make things right
