I hired a broker for a long-distance move and the broker enlisted Call Me Van Line. Call Me Van Line is by far the worst moving company ever and how they remain in business is beyond my comprehension! Call Me Van Line increased my binding estimate I had with the broker by more than $500 stating that it was based on the weight. They picked up my furniture from a storage facility in Texas on Oct 4th and didn't deliver it to my town until Oct 23rd. No weight tickets were ever provided to support the increase and they refused to deliver my furniture unless I paid the difference, actually stating that he would have his driver pass me by. If paid on my furniture for more than two years after taking ill so I had a lot invested and wanted it. After taking ill in Texas and not being able to work and then declared disabled, it was about all I had of value so I wanted it. When I refused to pay without supported proof that my things were that much more weight than I'd initially stated, they delivered my furniture on the side of the road and I had to get a U-Haul for my furniture to be taken to my home.

I am disabled and had to drive a U-Haul against better judgement to my home and had to hire movers to unload my furniture from the U-Haul the next day. When I unwrapped the furniture, I had things damaged beyond repair. Call Me Van Line is now refusing to compensate me for my losses. David the owner is very mean, abrasive and just rude. I told David about my health and told him about how I felt talking with him and he said he didn't care about my being ill or even if I was dying, those were his words. This is the worst company by far and should not be in business! They are dishonest and totally unprofessional. One of their employees stated that she witnessed some things that is forcing her to consider quitting but that she must wait until she finds something else since she is a single mother. This company is the epitome of what a rip-off company is. Stay away from this awful company!

Call me van lines out of camarillo, california was the most unprofessional, aggressive, insulting and demeaning mover i have ever used. This company is a scam. Their president, david kohaim, told me he didn't care that i am reporting him. Apparently many others threatened to do so as well. I wish i had checked the number of posted about this van line sooner. Call me van lines took 6 weeks to deliver my goods thus violating regulations stipulating 25 business days. I was in my new home across the country with none of my belongings for 6 weeks. They refused to give me a delivery spread in writing after asking numerous times. They would promise Verbally) a delivery date then the day would come and go without any notification from them. When i called the owner, david kohaim, after 27 business days, he threatened to hold my goods hostage and continue to charge me hundreds of dollars for storage. When the mover finally did arrive, david had hired a separate company to make the shipment called black ice moving. When black ice arrived, they couldn't deliver my goods to my house because their truck was so massive. He had to park in an autozone 3 miles away forcing me to rent a uhaul to shuttle back and forth while me and my friends unload each uhaul load at my house. The driver offered to help unload my goods at my house... If i paid him an additional $300! if i hadnt had friends, i would've been forced to do this. My driveway could fit any normal sized truck - but not an 18-wheeler. The driver claimed the 18-wheeler couldn't even fit in the large local park's parking lot right next door to my house. He arrived at 5pm and said if i didn't rent the uhaul On my dime) he would have to charge me $700 since he would have to stay overnight. So at 5pm, i was forced to run around town scrambling to get my belongings out of their hands. This move was a nightmare. I work hard for my money and chose a broker See complaint on plymouth relocation services) to save time and reduce headache. This did the opposite.

THIS IS A SCAM! Do NOT use this company if you value your belongings or money.

I booked a move through New Amsterdam Van Lines, who are also part of this scam. I was on the phone for an hour with New Amsterdam giving measurements of every piece of furniture and boxes. I was told that pricing was weight based and the truck would be there Friday. So Friday I get a call from Chris who says the truck I was promised was full and they were sending another truck on Saturday at 10am. I told him that was not the deal and he basically said there was nothing I could do but cancel and lose my $700 deposit. I had no idea New Amsterdam was a broker company and didn't actually do the move.

11am on Saturday, still no movers. I called New Amsterdam and they were closed. I finally get a call from "Dave" from Call Me Van Lines who seemed to think his driver was already there. I said there was no truck and he said he would investigate and call me back. THREE HOURS LATER Dave calls me back and says the truck will be there in 15 min. I had called over 6 times in those 3 hours and he would not answer my call. 15 min turned into an hour. The truck, who was supposed to be there at 10am didn't arrive until 2pm in a rented Budget truck.

The driver walks through the house and says, "There's way more stuff than we expected." So he gives me a new quote for over $9,000! I said no way and why did the price change when I had given an inventory list of everything. They said they had estimated 800 cubic ft and this would take up over 2000. I said, "This was a weight based move." They said no. Chris gets involved and Dave calls to tell me he's sending his guys to lunch while I figure this out. Chris calls me back and says the best he can do is $6800. It was too late to rent a moving truck, so we just ate the cost.

The movers return 2 hrs later. They didn't have all the tools to disassemble the furniture and kept asking me for my tools, which were packed. At one point, because they did not have the proper ratchet attachment, they just unscrewed the legs of my antique dining table. But since this is an antique, one of the screws was stripped, so they just ripped the screw out, damaging the wood in that part.

After they loaded, they said we owed them 50%. I handed them a credit card and the driver said, "Cash or check only." I told them we paid the deposit on a card, so he makes a call (presumably to Dave) and says someone will call me the next day to get a credit card payment.

Then I notice that they have left 2 of the dining room chairs. So I asked them and they said there was no room! I said, "What am I supposed to do about the chairs?" and they just shrugged their shoulders. The driver was having me sign paperwork and said we could write good comments about them. So I said, "If you fit those 2 chairs on the truck, I will write a good comment." And guess what? They fit the chairs on the truck!

Two days later, Dave calls at 10 pm to tell me I haven't paid. I told him what his driver said about the credit card and he said no he doesn't accept credit cards, no matter what his driver said. Now he had our things and could demand whatever he wanted. I didn't have that kind of cash and he told me to get a cash advance on my credit card!! I asked him if I could just come get my things. He said they were at a warehouse in Phoenix and I could get them for $2500!!

A few days later, I contact Dave to tell him when I would be to Phoenix and he told me that he had the truck take the things to LA because he doesn't have to pay a storage fee there. I tell him when I will be coming and he said he could be there to let me into the warehouse.

So we fly into Vegas to rent a truck because it was $1000 cheaper. I call Dave to tell him we will be there in 5 hrs. When we are an hour away, he tells me it would be the next day! The next day we show up and call him and he says he is closed for the day and hangs up. Turns out he just rents a storage unit at the facility.

We called the police who took our statement and said we could file extortion charges on him. The manager of the facility said that she had another man come with the same story. She calls Dave and tells him that's not how they do business and he can't stay there if this is going to happen.

The next day he refuses to show us our things until we give him $2500 CASH! He told us that was how it worked and call the police. So we called the police AGAIN. Then he leaves to go get food! When he comes back, we had worked out a solution with the manager and owner of the storage facility for him to sign a paper saying he would not lock us out of the unit until we had gotten our things out if we paid him the $2500. So we gave him a money order. Once he had the money, he told his men to unlock the unit, take our things out and then he leaves! But that was fine, we wanted him gone. And SHOCKER! We fit everything we had into approx 1200 cubic ft. Waaay less than what he was charging us for. TOTAL SCAM!

David kohaim and their team are bunch of jokers who have no work ethics, no proper documentation, no staff and no proper way to address a problem. Please do not use them if they offer services for free as well. I would give them 0 stars would not ask any one to take them.

United Moving Services brokered our contract to this no name moving company. Our move was scheduled for 4th of July weekend. David Kohaim, the owner of Call Me, contacted us late Friday night and advised us that he could not afford to do the move, ignored our contract and hung up on us. We tried contacting the original company with no success. Kohaim called 2 days later and said a truck would be there the following day. Upon arrival the driver immediately demanded 20% more money, although we were moving less items than contracted and he didn't assess or measure our items. He added cubic feet charges without measuring, and finally asked for items they didn't load to be given to him. Upon receipt of our shipment we see that every single box was damaged, our mattress SHOT, our bikes, STABBED, and items missing. There was more damage than items shipped! I am horrified that people like this are in business. Upon trying to collect for damages, Kohaim either demands more money or hangs up. Please do not give your good money to these horrible people.
