When we first heard of this grant we pretty excited. We thought it was a little bit fishy that they would actually pay you to buy a car. I did not want to try it at first but my sister and brother in-law did actually sign up for it. They were able to buy the car and recieve the grant even though their credit was just as bad as mine. Thats why I don't understand why they dragged me along for 2 weeks and they were never able to approve me. I attempted several phone calls and emails and I would never recieve a clear response. all they kept saying is "I am trying to get you approved". when I first applied I was very clear with them that I had just filed bankruptcy within the past year and I have also had a car repossession in the past year.
If my sister was able to buy her car and get the cash bonus at closing I don't see the reason I was denied because I was honest about my bankruptcy. I dont think its fair that people that need the most help and had a car repossessed before should get denied, I need this more than my sister does and yet i've never recieved any good news from them. That comapny should be more honest with people that have had set backs in the last year because I would prefer that they would not get my hopes up. Even though they said they were trying to approve me I still believe I should have gotten the grant.
