I ordered a 22 rifle from Calico on 12/31/22. Order # 6328. The check was drawn from my checking account on 1/9/23. Checks were the only option they would accept. On 1/13/23 I received an email from Heather Holmgren stating that the firearm is on hold due to waiting for front sights from the stamping company. On their website no where was it stated that my particular rifle was on back order. Had I read that it was I never would have ordered it. The last communication I had from them was a question from me asking if front sights from another rifle would work. She said no. In the same email I asked was it because of the color I picked. I told her a black one would be fine with me. No sights in stock was the response. Ok, I know Covid threw everyone a flip so I decided to wait and see. Now it's 3/16/23, so I decided to request a refund. No answer. I emailed them a couple times no response. I called their phone # a few times. They won't answer. I feel like they stole $637.00 from me.
Sent a check almost 10 months ago for approximately $1200. Was advised it will ship the following week. I have received nothing. Tried calling and emailing.... nothing. Filed reports with AG and BBB, FTC, and USPS. It appears many others have done so as well. Spoke with an attorney and it appears small claims is my only option. The only response I have received in over 9+ months was after I asked for a refund stating I would be in contact with an attorney to draft a letter of demand---Calico's response --- "what is it you are looking for". I have copies of all documentation and communication. I will never purchase anthing from this business again. I will advise any person who is considering purchasing products here of my story.
