I received a call on December 31st from (415)968-1710, Mill Valley, CA. I was told that I had over 3,500.00 in earnings from commissions on an online store that was set up for me and all I had to do was to pay the past due hosting/maintenance fee for one year, and I was promised a free vacation. He stated that the card on file was expired and it had been getting declined.

Then I received another call from accounting an (866)248-3025 number telling me that I had to overnight a money order for $359.40 to cover the hosting/maintenance fees for that year, plus a free vacation redeemable for up to one year is stated on the invoice they emailed me.

They told me that the monies owed to me would be released four to seven days upon receipt of the money order and that they would reimburse me the overnight fee and if I had any questions I could call 888-223-2931 - Ashley or 888-382-3224 Melissa.

He told me I had a deadline of 48 hours or I would lose the money owed me. I was distressed and almost fell into their trap, but decided to investigate further. Fortunately, I came across this website and realized it had to be a scam because someone else received the same email with the same login information(email and password). If it was legitimate that would not be the case.

Thank you for those that reported this scam, if not I might have fallen for it, due to my financial difficulties at the present time.

Same thing happen to me

I received the same call this past week with the same sales pitch wanting me to pay for past due hosting/maintenance fee. After I told them I thought this was a scam the woman hung the phone up on me. Thanks for the post just hope nobody falls for this scam.

On jan. 3, received a phone call that "my account" was frozen, but would be extended for 48 hours so that i could pay the 12-months of maintenance fees that were unpaid because my credit card was declined.

An email followed attaching an invoice for the $359.40 and a link to a website where i could log into my frozen account and see the $3,347.86 in commissions due me, and which would be released, and my account reinstated.

If i sent the $359.40 within 48 hours, and i was to send it by money order or certified check. I seared the interent and found the scamionby rose in nj, with the exact same scenario, including the same website and amount of commissions allegedly owed to her. That confirmed the scam. Thank you, rose!

Scammers

This is a scam. Don't fall prey to the lies. I'm still waiting on money that they claim I had in escrow. S Green
