The following is the DETAILED REPORT:

Michelle had made me and my friend a deal of $350 for articles in City To Country and Tru Entertainment Magazines for the issue of April 2017. We paid her $200 on March 02, 2017 and the remaining amount of $150 on March 03, 2017. The payment was done via PayPal to account of Caduceusclouds on the email ID [email protected] (whom she said was her roommate).

Michelle Magee insisted on making the payment via "friends and family". NEVER EVER do that. Claiming the money from PayPal is impossible if it's via "family and friends". She had initially asked us to send the money via "Western Union" to "Michelle Alene in St. Petersburg, Florida". Luckily we didn't.

She always insisted on time crunch and that we pay her within a few hours "asap". She didn't even bother asking about the articles. It was only when I asked her if she needs them...she asked me to email her at "[email protected]". I had asked her what exactly does she need in content and was recieved with a callous response of "nothing specific just info on whatever you want to promote". In the same month she sent us a new package of some shoddy online sites to publish articles in, to which we gladly refused because that's done by every cheap and unsuccessful publicist. We wanted only print magazines.

In the later half of March (March 18, 2017), Conman Michelle Magee was at it again. She prosposed to us the deal of $300 for articles in Social Lifestyle Magazine, Soul Central Magazine and Gladys Magazine. We agreed to pay $250 on that very day because she said the deal was on only for that day. Michelle asked us to use "friends and family" (again!) using PayPal through the account Christianolanso and the email ID [email protected]. She didn't say who he was. All the articles were for May except Gladys (for June issue).

So by now, we had paid Michelle $600.

The month of April flew by and she told my friend that the article will be for May to which we reluctantly okayed. She also said that her phone "broke" and that she lost all my information in there that was actually sent via email. Funny thing she asked me to send it again as her "email" didn't have my data. This was only known when we asked about it.

Then May came to an end and she said it'd be June. Her timeline was something like this. The articles were to be published for June 18th, June 12th and June 10th issues for Gladys, Soul Central and Social Lifestyle Magazines this year respectively. What's interesting is that the Editor In Cheif of Gladys, when contacted in June, told me they don't even have a June issue.

But her deadlines kept passing by. She changed her contact and wasn't willing to speak on call either. The only mode of communiation was FB messenger and email. By now we were convinced there's something grossly amiss. We decided to ask for a refund to which she said the magazines have the money and will take a while to refund.

We decided to take matters in our hand. She claimed to be a member of Public Relations Society of America. I contacted the Digital Communications Associate of PRSA. He said her membership expired at the very beginning of this year and that they are only a voluntary organization and that his boss will get back to me. She dind't. Besides that I knew there was nothing else I could expect from a "voluntary organization" that doesn't have anything to do with ethics violators.

Moving further into my probe, on contacting all the 5 magazines, 3 responsible ones responded. All of these three magazines confirmed that Michelle Magee is fraud and that she has caused loss to them in the past and has proved unethically unprofessional in the past. I had a phone conversation with the founders of these 3 magazines and they all said that they let Michelle Magee and her company go for good many months ago. One of these 3 magazines was kind enough to take the issue directly with Michelle Magee. The founder sent me the entire conversation.

I'm currently awaiting a refund from the procrastinator and scamster Michelle Magee. I'm planing on legal action to end this game of hers once for all since I've all the proof I need now.

To conclude, whichever artist you may be, just like me,you also work hard to make yourself noticed out there. You also, just like me, try to get a good publicist to spread the word of your good work. Just like me, you also want your money's worth it, irrespective of whether you can afford it or not. Please save yourselves from this fraudster from Tampa Florida called Michelle Magee.

I'm gonna have my refund especially for the loss of time and money I've had.

I wish you all the best in your careers. Be safe and teach a lesson to those who try to cheat with your hardwork. Not only for yourself. But also for other diligent artists like you.

Be blessed!

Scam Artist

Scammed us out of $900 had to file police report, bbb, notified IRS & FTC. She claims to be a publicist but we've spoken with all the blogs/magazines she supposably has a relationship with and they deny knowing her at all. Claims to be a member of the PRSA and they stated she is in fact not a member. Also check Florida records for her fake company and you will see it's not even in legal operation anymore.
