Bought two systems for two houses over the years. After terrible experiences with overprice products that did not work, Budget Water was a breath of fresh air. All of my terrible sulfur smells are gone! We had a lot of iron as well. Gone. I spent under $800 and there is no salt, chemicals or maintenance. It has been trouble free. The support staff is always kind and helpful. I wish I could give them 6 stars!
I just saw a crazy review here. They said the Terminox Filter at BudgetWater.com did not work well, but everything they say is incorrect. Budget Water CLEARLY states on their website the the pH of water needs to be ABOVE 7.5. This person says Budget Water said it was too high at 6.8. That is ridiculous. Their website clearly states the opposite. 6.8 would be TOO LOW for ANY good iron filter. pH of 6.8 is NOT acceptable for good iron filters. Period. This malicious post must either be a competitor, a TROLL, or both. Or they are maybe the most uniformed and unintelligent person on the planet. Not to mention it is just plain sleazy to lie about any company this way. I have installed more than 15 Terminox filters for my customers. All are perfectly happy and refer business to me constantly. Of course I follow the instructions. The idea that no plumber would install it is just plain incorrect. A blatant lie. They are so easy to install that many of people who buy them install them themselves. Many are housewives. Why would any plumber or handyman refuse the money for such a simple install? That's just silly. Not odd at all that someone would post it on this RUSSIAN site. Just look at the WHOIS directory. This site is originated in Russia!
Budgetwater claims to be experts in water filtration. On their web site, they promise to honest and never sell you more than what you need. They also claim to help you find a plumber in your area that could install their equipment. As for pricing, they tell you they are much less expensive than any other company.
They sold me a system that no one is willing to install. My house is in the lake region in NH. The Iron level of our water in this area is has a very high. Our rust remover/water softener broke and I started shopping around to replace it. That is how I ended up with Budgetwater.
They sold me their Terminox filter to remove the rust (and other minerals) but insisted that I also need to get a Chemical Feeder. I was told the PH of the water (6.8) is too high and it is required to stabilize the PH level of the water.
I had three plumbers who came to my house and refused to install the chemical feeder. After months of going back and forth, they found a person who did water irrigation system to come to my house. Even he refused to install it. Everyone tells me that I do not need a chemical feeder and it is not advised to put chemical into our water. Yet Budgetwater insists that our water is too acidic and the PH level is high. For those who know about the PH level, 6.8 is well within the accepted and normal range. But not according to Budgetwater. When I insisted that the 6.8 is quite normal, they tell me that if the PH of the water is not 7, the Iron remover Terminox filter will be damaged within months.
They do not take the filters back and I am stuck with a filter that will not work for me. I am out close to $2000 and lots of headache. Including publishing this page up to educate other consumers like me.
Budgetwater cannot be trusted. They sell you what you do not need!
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at [email protected] and I can explain the whole story.
Bought Filters from Budget Water several years ago. This is my second purchase for my new home. It still works perfectly. It was very easy to install. No need for plumbers if you are handy at all. They have always been helpful, friendly and knowledgable. They even help you on Sundays if you need it. My equipment works perfectly. Anyone who would say they are not a good company is wrong. Probably a competitor spreading trash..
