Buyer Beware I bought 6 dogs from him from the year 2005 untill present
Most were $5,000 one was a champion I paid $15,000 for him. All Dogs mature into beautifulfirst class European Dobermans but its not a Happy Ending. Every dog developed uncurable skin conditions, most likely from inbreeding. I am a real person, my profession is a doctor and I am available for real conversation 212 567-0872 to potential buyers and have Horrible photographs documenting that I can share with you of the heart breaking skin conditions and bills of sale.
If your buiying a dog it will mature into a beautiful animal for about 4 years then be prepared to spend a fortune on Vet bills and find out its an uncurable condition something like Psoriasis on a human. You will love these dogs and try anything to save them but nothing under the sun helps as you spend a fortune. So it will break your heart and be an eye sore to anyone who sees it
Britton Farms has the best dogs but there is Not a Happy Ending
I have purchased two and was given a replacement from the GREEDER, yes GREEDER. First one had wobblers and dropped over dead at age 7. Second one had lymphoma and died at age 5. The replacement Doberman dropped over dead today at age 6. This man is a monster willing to steal your money for greed and could care less about the puppies he is selling. Run, don’t walk away from the GREEDER. Rip off people by selling sick dogs.
We bought our doberman as a puppy from britton farms dobermans. Knowing the history of dobermans heart issues, i asked him about his dogs' hearts and if there were any problems. He told me all the dogs' hearts are "checked" and he has not had any dog with a heart problem. My dog, duke, was very active and the love of my life. Duke, only 2 years old, died today, fairly quickly thank goodness.
The x-rays and diagnostic workups showed massive heart failure, a hugely enlarge heart, and knew it, but lied to me about it. This is such a heartbreaking shock because my dog was beautiful, smart, loyal, and a wonderful companion. I wanted to warn others not to buy a doberman from britton farms dobermans.
I purchased 2 Doberman puppies from this breeder Britton Farms $ 3500 each, a male and a female, the minute he got his money and shipped them to La Guardia Airport in NY , he became very hard to find to get some answers about cropping or changing diets or whatever questions we could had, even though that during the process of selecting the puppies, he had offered us all kind of assistance we could possibly need to succesfully raise the pups.
According with his promises and advertisement in Brittons Farms site, even in the documents he sent us, these dogs were genetically proven healthy to be our companions for long years to come, I have to say that they were, since they arrived to NY , two beatiful animals that made us proud to have them as a part of our family and immediately we fell in love with them.
At 6 years of age, Maximus, [ Max ] after a Sunday of swimming, running and playing all day with Kalhua and the rest of the family at home, Monday he did not come early in the morning to wake me up, as usual, with his ball, only Kalhua woke me up barking, I went downstairs to find him very quiet , lying on the kitchen floor , only moving his tail to greet me , instead of jumping around and running out to go in the pool as soon as I opened the gate , then started vomiting a waterly fluid , inmediately I took him to his vet to get the most desvastating news , Max had been diagnosed with cardiomypathy and my "gentle giant" died a month later this past September, we still couldn't recover of that terrible loss and anytime his name is mentioned we all have tears in our eyes ..
To make matters worse Kalhua suffered his absence , he was the male that protected her in our trips only with his presence, he did not need anything else , he was a european Doberman 125 lbs of muscles , very balanced , he never hurt anybody, very obedient , he only had eyes for us in the park , if another dog came to close, he looked at him and most of the time it was more than enough, if the other dog insisted , then he pushed him jumping on top , showing that he was not welcome, as soon as the other dog showed submission , he ran to us to keep walking ...anytime the bell rings , Kalhua runs to the door , expecting seeing Max coming back ...heart breaking !!
One day I noticed traces of blood in her feces , I took to her vet , expecting to hear that it was consecuence of her stress due to the loss of his friend companion [ they never "got sex"] , we kept then separated til she was spayed , the diagnosed was adeno carcinoma in her rectum , but even worse the vet detected a murmor in her heart and she got yesterday the same diagnostic than Max ..if she is "lucky", her life expentancy is not more than a few months ...PLEASE DO NOT BUY A PUPPY FROM THIS BREEDER !!!
