Monthly charges on your debit or credit card from BringMeThat

In case you are not aware, simply by signing up to the BringMeThat website you are agreeing to a monthly fee for use of the service. They claim that then you do not get charged when you order online, however I suspect that is not the case. First I have ever heard of being charged just to set up an online account. I have been told my account will be cancelled, but charges to my card will not be refunded. Sneaky business model....

On October 25, 2017 I odered a pizza from Domino's Pizza in Sebrbing using my debit card in which I authorized. Then I recieved charge on my debit card for $8.95 from BringMeThat for services ordering the pizza.

Okay, I said would never order from Domino's Pizza again.

On Janurary 1, 2018 I received another $8.95 charge on my debit card from BringMeThat and I did not order and food from anywhere.

I had placed an order for a restaurant I had found online which had a link to the BringMeThat website to place me order. After going to the restaurent to pick up my order, they had no record of my name on file and had not received my payment from the online website. After furher investigation with the owner of the restaurant, they said they do not have online ordering and the order I had placed was not on record.

What happened was;

1) I placed an order through BringMeThat and filled in my name and credit card information.

2) A foreign representative called the resturant and placed an order using a DIFFERENT name "Alex".

3) Not a single dime went to the resstaurant, but was charged a service fee for the order.

The website is hands down a scamming website. It is safe to assume that if you have ordered through this website, your credit card has been compromised. I have cancelled my current credit card and am having a new one delivered.

I am working closely with the restaurant owner to get down to the find out any further information since it has incnvenienced the both of us.

It should be noted that if the restaurant and owner have no partnered with the website, it is ILLEGAL for any order to be placed on behalf of the customer.

I work at a restaurant in Torrington named Roma Pizza. The named website (bringmethat.com) has a menu online with our street address and phone number with completely incorrect information. No one from our restaurant contacted named website to put this information up. We get at least 10-15 calls (from potential customers) per week, attempting to order things from "our menu" that they found online, and end up either disappointed or decide not to order at all when we have to ultimately tell them that we don't have anything that is claimed from the website. There is no way to contact the company or report invalid or incorrect information on the website . We would like it to be taken down, or at the very least updated with the CORRECT information. I am even willing to work with the website to provide the correct menu and information to try to resolve this..

BringMeThat.com is a SCAM and a LEECH on society that prays on diners like you and me, and on unsophisticated small business owners. Do not use them under any circumstances.

Here's how they work: Internet domains (the web address - like www.mycompany.com) periodically expire. A lot of small businesses don't realize that until it's too late. When a domain expires, it's almost 100% certain to be immediately bought by an extortion artist like BringMeThat.com. Now that they've grabbed a restaurant's internet address, they replace the web site with their own pages which mimic the restaurant's menu. So if you're a customer looking to order food, you think you're on the restaurant's real web site but you're not. They jack up the prices and make it so when you place an order, you're actually ordering through BringMeThat. They in turn place the order with the restaurant, pocketing the difference.

It gets much worse, in two ways.

1) Credit card fraud: BringMeThat now has your credit card info along with all the information you provided them. Given that the whole business is set up just to be a scam, it's pretty likely that they'll misuse or sell your credit card. So now you have to assume your card has been compromised. Recommendation: shut it down and get a new one.

2) Legalized extortion: when the business learns what's happened, BringMeThat offers to sell their own web site back to them, but at a greatly inflated price. What's the price? It depends on how much sales volume they've transacted through their scam site. A business with a lot of orders will be raked over the coals. They use the business' own customers to screw them over.

Their founder and CEO, Jason Liang of New York City, set up the company to make himself rich at the expense of others while providing absolutely zero value add to his unsuspecting customers. Shame on his sham. I bet his mama's so proud of him.

I ordered food through bring me that. The total listed, that I agree to was $13.13. When I checked my account they charged me over $15, then charged me an additional $2.50. Chat is the only way to resolve the issue. When I saw this I immediately cancled my order and asked about a refund. When I just dropped the word refund the chat agent disconnected the chat... now I have to dispute the charges with my bank AND get a new credit card because there is no way in hell I trust these criminals with my credit card number. I posted a comment on facebook and attempted to message them via facebook and like the little b*-a*sed babies that they are the blocked me and removed my ability to message them. They know that they are criminals and when caught, have nothing to say... not even an explanation let alone an apology.
