Breezesofgrowthandlove Alleged company website: breezesofgrowth.com Method of payment: Zelle (assumed this was safe since my bank - New York Community Bank offers it) Total paid: $800 for puppy + $200 for shipping. Was Assured that there would be No additional charges expected nor advised as to how the shipping process was handled nor what to expect once we were contacted
When the bank tried to send the money through Zel to [email protected] the funds would not go through. We contacted Breezes of Growth and was give the name of Keith Williams at the email - [email protected] (we became suspicious and called Breezes back.
They would not call us but would text us. When my husband questioned the change of names he received a text back was given some excuse that Keith was her brother and it was OK to send the money to him.
Contact methods to alleged breeder: 1 phone call, multiple emails, texts. Last communication with breeder: Tracking # for puppy received via email and text. No airline info, no name of pet nanny traveling with the puppy, no other photos etc.
We told them that since they were in Virginia and we were in Long Island that we did not need a pet transport company as would like to drive down and pick up the puppy ourselves. That didn't sit well with her. The response we got (by text) was
Hello I am sorry but the only way you can get Peri now is if I ship to you. Let me just explain how the whole process works. Before we proceed, you must have a look at and sign the sales contract. It is a legally binding contract which covers both parties and acts as proof of payment.
Which means if anything should go wrong, Legal actions can be taken by either parties. Whitout that I will not accpt to proceed. I consider paper work a very important factor as far as this is concerned. So for us to proceed, I will need to send you the sales contract so you can review it.
Regarding shipping, with your name and address I can register the puppy for delivery to your location with a pet shipping comany. When done I'll send you all the info. Tracking Cod and flight details.
Contacted via email by alleged “pet transport company” : Lamplight movers of Marina del Ray, CA Email received from [email protected] with the below alleged tracking # (& a notice that pet will be tested prior to shipping due to Covid (again never explained by alleged breeder): TRACKING NUMBER: PT90837422
We asked what was taking so long for them to ship our pup. Their answer to us was that due to the Corona Virus outbreak, for precautionay motives, we need to run some tests on you puppy before proceeding wit thte shipment.
Then the Company began demanding an additional $1500 for “refundable” pet insurance (explaining once I have the puppy the funds will be sent back via Zelle or check. )
Once we saw the email we tried to contact Breezes of Growth to question why were were not told about this. They immediately stopped taking calls the phone would ring and then go to a busy signal they were also not answering any emails. When I tried the next to contact them by phone we found out the phone number was disconnected.
However the emails from Lamp Light Movers continued continuously until I finally had enough and told them that I was no longer going to invest any more money into something I could not trust. After that there were no emails.
