On Friday September 13 a technician from Brazos Valley Services came to our house to perform a routine maintenance. When the tech came down from the attic he claimed the surge protector that BVS installed 4 years ago has been catching fire and has been recalled. The tech proceeded to tell me he could replace the protector with a different one for 279.00.
He further stated to me that the UV bulb was burned out. He could install a new one for 298.00. My question To BVS is, if the protector was a recall why weren’t we notified and why were we charged? Very deceptive. Upon further investigation I discovered I could purchase a comparable UV bulb and have it installed much less then he charged us. Deceptive trading.
I have emailed a BVS representative twice with no response. Also the tech has bragged to others how he took advantage of us. We HAVE been taken advantage of and want resolution. Thank you.
