Worst Customer service I have ever dealt with. I made an appointment to get new brake pads..I called Brakes 4 Less - (no matter what number you call, all calls are routed to their call center, inside the CORP. office in MT Pleasant SC)..The woman I spoke to offered to book a 10am appointment for us. We accepted. I took the car in at 10am sharp and proceeded to sit there for 45 minutes. I finally got up and asked them what was going on and when they would be looking at my car. The store employee said 15-20 more minutes !!?? I said I had a 10am appointment why such a long wait. He told me the call center regularly books 3-5 appointments in the same time slot and they are backed up. He said the call center was poorly managed and did not provide proper communication to customers or employees at the shop..
We decided to give it 15 more minutes and walked next store to a Hardees restaurant and waited.. From there, I placed a call to the call center ask why we were not informed about the wait up front... They were not helpful and said it wasnt actually an appointment but an approximation, and that I would get serviced at some point that day!?! She told me to look at it like a Doctors appointment, that all doctors make thier patients wait long periods of time..What a joke..It would have been nice knowing this upfront and I could have made other plans.
Meanwhile we were stuck without a car, I had a child to pick up and an elderly parent in the hospital relying on me. When I told her that wasnt acceptable and asked to talk to her supervisor, I was put on hold and transfered to the very obnoxious owner TRENT POLLARD..He was hotheaded and unwilling to listen..He just wanted to yell and dictate policy..He told me if I didnt like it I could take my keys and leave - he wasnt the least bit concerned aboout my business..As an owner he shoud have been the coolest head in the room, a problem solver - not a problem maker. I could totaly understand after speaking to him why the other employees, call center etc. were such a disaster..It all comes from the top.
After waiting 2 hours my car was pulled into the bay just to be pulled back out 5 minutes later due to Trent Pollard calling the Lexington location and telling them to refuse me service in retalition to my complaint !!!!!! The store employees said Trent Pollard had anger issues.
Mr. Trent Pollard, nor the call center wanted to take any responsibilty for their incompetence and failure to communicate key information about appointments and scheduling to us. My time is also valuable - and the last time I checked, I'm the customer..I tried to call another number in hopes of reaching a civilized agent, rep or manager for this company and I could not make that happen. All the numbers went staright into this call center.
Apparently Trent Pollard, the call center and the shop are all in cahoots covering for eachother and their is no accountability for their actions..Furthermore the girl I talked to at the Corp. office acted as though I had some responsibility in the whole matter, because I opened a can of worms by making a complaint. She seemed to want to deflect the issue on me and the fact folks book appointments online and through the call center - and they were not equipt to handle the communication issues. All I wanted was an appology.. I never got one
I think its obvious that you have no appitutde for customer service or business ownership if you cant handle complaints or unhappy customers without diverting blame back to them or becoming rude and belligerent.
What ever you do - dodge this bullet !! Worst Company in South Carolina if not nationwide. After reading other reviews the work itself all seems to be shoddy and unreliable. Nothing redeeming about them.
