I purchased first set of drums and shoes from brake performance.com Purchased their preminum drums and shoes. I had them professionally installed at local shop with mechanic I trust with my car.
In less than 1500 miles drums warped .... I contacted company and they said they could replace shoes and drums.Sent a RMA but said I had to pay to chip them back to them.
So I paid to ship original defective parts back to them .
Received and had 2nd set of drums and shoes installed. AGAIN in 1500 miles Noise is extreme, so back to mechanic The drums warped again.( BTW both rear wheel hubs and bearing have been replace, noise is only when braking and is rotational)
Called company to see how they wanted to handle return or refund. They wanted a I needed a work order letter regarding the defective parts. I got that and sent that.
They said they would only replace the drums saying shoes are fine. Not so according to 2 mechanics. and that
Unable to speak with a manager. Customer service has gone back and forth and they will not refund for all the parts, saysing shoes are fine.
Why would I trust any part from them since they have been defective twice now.
All of this is over $45.00 for shoes and $85.00 for drums
I now have to eat that costfor shoes as well as the cost for 2 rear brake jobs and the cost of mailing parts back to them.
Bad way to treat a customer. They should man up and do the right thing.
