Worst braiding salon ever!!! I repeat please do not do business here. They rip you off !! *Roaches *Poor customer service *Extremely dirty salon *Trash every where *They make you sign a waiver before they do your hair (who has to sign a waiver before they get their hair done) *They make you pay for your service in full before you get your hair done (huge red flag) *They eat and then put their fingers in your half without washing them. *They barely speak English (the braiders yell in French the whole time) so who knows if they are talking bad about you *They wash your hair in the bathroom sink with cold water *They use dirty combs to wash your hair *They braid really really tight *This business is like a sweat shop / braiding assembly line. *You are just a number I scheduled an appointment on a Wednesday. Showed you up at 7am on Friday morning of the same week.
As soon as I arrived the scheduler/ Owner who’s name is Mr Kane apologized for his braiders being late and asked me to be patient.
I asked how long it would take and he he stated they would be there in 10 to 15 minutes. They did not arrive until 40 minutes later. They were not able to get into the salon so we had to wait another 10 minutes. My appointment finally started at 8 AM. The Braider asked me to sign a waiver and pay In full. I should’ve known this was my sign to leave immediately but I had an event to go to and really needed my hair done. She said they were in a new location and the hot water was not working and asked if I would be able to wash my hair in the sink. She washed my hair in the bathroom sink with cold water.
When she finally began my hair about an hour into it I started to touch it and realize the picture I had shown her and what she was doing we’re not the same. She braided my hair in the slant direction. She braid my hair very tight. A few hours into the appointment She offered to take it down if I was not satisfied after she could see my frustration. At this point I had been at the salon for four hours, and had an event to attend the same day. The whole appointment was a disaster. Several customers came and left because they too were frustrated with customer service, prices or them taking too many clients at once. Another customer had them take down her hair because she was not satisfied with the service. Another customer asked him to speak English. One braider stated that their preferred language is French.
I could go on and on about the horrible things about this place. My appointment ended almost 8 hours later. I was originally told it would be a 2 hour appointment. As soon as I left that appointment I called Mr Kane back to express my frustrations in detail. I contacted Mr Kane to let him know everything that took place. Initially he seemed very apologetic and stated he would call me back with a solution that same day. He contacted me almost 2 days later and asked me to come back on Sunday morning to get it redone. I initially let him know on Friday this was not possible because I was in town for a family event and had a lot of relatives from out of the country visiting. I didn’t have time to get it redone. I asked for half of my money back. He stated that I should’ve read the policies and that the only way they could refund me is if I came back and got it all taken down. I live out of town so coming back was not an option. He text me the policy and stated those were my only options.
Any business that has you sign a waiver or pay in full is not confident of their services. They do not value or appreciate their customers. This establishment is extremely dirty and overall they are unprofessional. Please do not waste your hard earned money here. I let him know I was going to be very detailed about my bad review and he did not seem concerned. It’s important to let others know about these experiences. Hopefully this well prevent someone else from wasting their money.Thanks
