Bradley-Morris talks a great hype. They inflate themselves to make themselves sound awesom and amazing. They give great statistics for how many people they have at an event, how many companies will be there, how many jobs will be available, and how many interviews you'll have. Then, after spending a small fortune to travel across country and rent a room at an upscale hotel (because you'll want to be staying on-site, with all these interviews you'll be scheduled for) you actually arrive. There's a breifing and you discover that half the companies and jobs the recruiter talked up aren't anywhere near a good fit for you, aren't worth interviewing for because you don't qualify, and no one tells you until you're there. Then you actually interview with the few companies or positions left and you wait. These places have, presumably, had your resume from the get-go. They then tell you they'll get back to you in a few days or a few weeks. You are left hanging, having expected a hire-on-the-spot or near enough situation and you walk away with nothing at all.
If you live near an event, this might be worth your time, if for nothing other than entertainment purposes. If you have to spend money on a travel, a hotel, anything like that? Skip it. Hit up the want ads in the local paper for your target market, check craigslist, or phone a friend at your local staffing agency of choice. If you're looking to relocate or jump up the pay scale a bit, this is not the agency to work with.
I'm sure other people have had wonderful, sparking experiences. Ours was not. A member of my household was sold a rusted bucket of bolts and half torn set of Lego instructions in place of what I had hoped to be at least a used car. My family was expecting something new & shiny. This isn't the thing to do to a very vulnerable, valuable segment of our population. There is no honor in this. Nothing.
