Boyce Creative ordered report from me and paid a 50% deposit. After completion, The second half of the payment was due and promised, but wasn't paid. Instead, I was given a list of excuses. First, Mr. Ben Boyce let me know what he thought of the report, "Ok I ran into a few minor tense corrections all looks good so far I'll read the rest in the am and take care of the invoice " Payment was promised and never received. This was on 9/6/2017.
Next, I started receiving the excuses. The first had to do with the hurricaines in Florida, so I was understaning and payment was agian promised on the following Friday and not received. At this point, Mr. Boyce asked me if I was any good at sales copy...this implied he had more work for me and was satisfied with the work I provided, at this point.
The next excuse came about 14 days later after asking again for payment of the second half. He stated he had incurred a large hospital bill this time and couldn't pay me. He also stated he hired an editor to edit the ebook (never asked me to do this for him, which I would have done at no additional cost). Again, payment was promised as he asked me to give him a few days to sign a new client and then he'd pay. However, no payment was made.
Today, he gave me another excuse claiming he hired a college professor to edit my work (probably not true, but that was the exuse). Finally, after returning the email, was received a partial payment of the balance due and a nasty email, which follows:
"Yea after I paid those I had to pay for it to get edited. Honestly it was just sh*t all around. And not worth AMOUNT REMOVED period but hey you know what a deal a deal even if the work is dog sh*t. Money on the way. best of luck to you"
I don't think someone writing this type of email should be the judge of whether any content is good or bad. In addition, it's rather unprofessional and he didn't state he was going to send a partial payment. I am still waiting for the full payment and here we are 56 days later. Final payment was dup upon receipt of the ebook.
