Boulder Chrysler Dodge Ram Reviews

My history Boulder Dodge goes back many years. I have bought three vehicles off of their lot over the years when they were Valley Dodge before they moved to their current location.

I think we all know that things are usually look a bit more expensive at dealerships and we have to be cautious, but I felt like I was always treated fairly.

In the last couple of years of been purchasing oil change cards that are good for four changes and a service check. In the past, they've come up with a big, expensive list of things that needed work.

I have have taken most recommendations to other places and found that I could get the work done cheaper are even that the work wasn't even needed.

So still, I am going there for oil changes until recently. I went in and I had some noise in my front in suspension and I asked them to take a look at it. They could not do it at that time because of a shortage of personnel. They still change the oil and made a service check

Two weeks later I had an appointment to check the suspension (I had previously taken it to another place and they said there's nothing wrong with the front in suspension), but I wanted to take it there to make sure. Once the Dodge guys got a hold of it again they came up with about $3600 project, even adding things onto the potential bill that were listed as okay two weeks before. They gave me a bill for looking for $140 which I paid. They had also added that I needed a brake job, which turned out to be not necessary, and they took that off of the $3600 quote because they realized that I had been in two weeks before and everything had been rated is okay.

Sunday, one of my friends commented that if they don't give you a written signed form on what the price will or they are limited to $75 charge. When I went in there to complain about that they refunded my money and told not to come back again and lied about telling me that they had told me what the fee would be. That was an outright lie and was repeated over and over again.

In the end when they tell me I would never come again, I didn't have to say that yes I agree, you didn't have to say that. I had taken the vehicle now to two other places that told me that there is nothing wrong with the front suspension and that could have the work done and although not necessary. It might improve the sound quality of my suspension, but it would be less than half the price of a quoted. Boulder Dodge did return my$140, lied about what was said. I was willing to pay the $75. I did take the vehicle through two other places there were no charges for the examinations. I have learned my lesson with Boulder Dodge.

My Ram 1500 Ecodiesel Unlimited (top of the line pick up) had extensive repairs - bent frame - costing well into the thousands and was returned without the gas tank nozzle connected to the gas tank, which caused me to dump over 10 gallons of diesel fuel on the ground. Besides the environmental damage, the risk of fire was significant - my wife, bystanders and I were all lucky to walk away unharmed.

When I returned the truck and asked it be repaired along with the other numerous items left unfinished (my after market computer was disconnected with wires hanging out of the dash, the windshield surround was left disconnected, found more damage to the front-end that required repair, the brake cable was left unsecured causing a rattle), Randy Grubbs, the Service Manager, took no accountability and said these were not his fault. Needless to say, I am willing to spend money to avoid Boulder Dodge dealership and am taking it to the Longmont dealership and for any unfinished repairs.

After many requests that the Boulder Dodge Service Manager, Randy Grubbs, return the truck as it was given to me, I had to go to Tyler Grubich, the General Manager, for resolution. During that conversation, I brought up that I was charged over $800 for an oil change that was verbally quoted to me to be "a few hundred bucks". Tyler agreed pay us back $450 and in return I would not disparage Boulder Dodge via negative reviews on social media.

Well, we havent received the $450 as promised so I am compelled to warn other unsuspecting customers of our bad experience with the service department at Boulder Dodge. Beware and go to Longmont Dodge - it's right down the road and they will take care of you.
