Scammed $1,000 by Boostability

I purchased one of their premium packages for a thousand dollars per month. Late in the first month, they decide to log onto my account for the first time to update the webpage. They barely made any fixes. They didn't fix any of the known problems. The changes they made dropped my Google ranking from page 11 to page 22. They are supposed to be pros. I'm a total rookie and I was able to get my own site to page 11. They very obviously didn't care about their work. I had to go back in and undo their changes. I dropped a grand for nothing. Move on, people. They put no effort into their work!

This company is a ripoff.

This is a ripoff. Never use this company. Many promises, and they did not deliver. I received 2 emails in 4 months, just to get lectured when I tried to cancel. They wouldn't even refund me for the month!

If you look at the current review and one in the filtered review you will basically find the same story here.

I signed up for Boostability's SEO service back in November 2012. You will be under contract for three months. I was told many things by the sales person, which I find out later was just a bunch of lies. I didn't see the dashboard move a blip. It was a flat line through out the first two months. By the end of the second month I decided to cancel my service. Why pay for something that is not producing results..right? I followed their protocol and sent my email well before the 10 day time limit. Once I sent the email, I received a call from an account rep trying to keep my business. I expressed my concerns and discontent, and understood I would not get a refund. The plan was to finish out my contracted month, (since i have to pay for it anyways) and then have the account cancelled. Well here comes month four and I was charged...let me tell you...not too happy about this. I called all the contact names that I had been dealing with previously. I was not able to reach any person I had been speaking with previously. I had their numbers, but new people were at the other end of the line. How shady is that? A new account representative contacted me. She was very nice, very professional, and unfortunately received the brunt of my discontent. She advised me that she needed the email, I had sent. So, I resent the email. She stated she could not find that email in her system. At this point, I am pretty pissed. Basically feel like I am being called a liar. I had a simple request, reverse the $200 charge, apologize for the inconvenience and we can move on. Nope, I now have to proceed with an overcharge claim with my bank to get my money back. This company in my opinion is not good to do business with. I never saw any changes in my dashboard, they told me there is no guarantee and that they change their approach based off what they see, and if you are not happy about results, they still charge you and make cancelling the service a nightmare.

Don't waste your time and money or you will get a headache at the end of your service. Such an untrustworthy and shady way to do business! They should be ashamed

Took my money

Never did the SEO work as outlined in the fee agreement/contract. I gave them my credit card number and they charged it every month; even though, no SEO work was completed. I did receive a refund after threating to file a complaint with the Utah State Attorney Generals Office.

Boostability SEO Fraud

This business seems to have a history or ripping people off and lying to them. Mr. David Browns story about his previous employer being defrauded out hundreds of thousands of dollars and deleting customer orders is sickening. It is also heartbreaking that Mr. Brown lost his job! Boostability should be ashamed of their disgusting conduct!! Im glad I didn't use Boostability for my SEO needs!

I previously worked for a company that wanted me to find them a SEO firm. After doing some research online I find a SEO firm called Boostability. When I called to talk to them about a SEO plan they seemed to know what they was talking about. I would find out later that this would not be the case. We had numerous problems from the start on selecting keywords, the correct market niche etc. Our account Manager was nothing more than a used car salesman that swindled me into getting a SEO Plan.

The plan was $756.00 a month for three months. Two and a half months into the SEO plan our business was getting numerous complaints from customers saying they placed an order but never received it. We had no record of these orders or customers. The owner of the company did some research and found out that Boostability employees hacked into our website platform and deleted the customer orders. He also found out that Boostability employees stole these customers credit card information.

When the owner confronted Boostability with his information they reimbursed us for the loss of sales. This amount was around two thousand dollars. However, the damage was already done to our company. We still received numerous complaints and negative reviews online from these customers. A few of these customers filed chargebacks with their credit card companies and filed complaints against us with the Attorney General’s Office. This was all due to the criminal actions of Boostability and its employees.

The owner of the company cancelled the SEO contract after this nightmare. He then asked Boostability for a detailed report of the SEO service that was completed. After spending a lot of time researching we found out that none of the work that we was billed $2,228.00 for was completed. Boostability offered no remorse or apology for their criminal actions. Because of Boostability I was fired from my job and I deserved to be fired. I am the guy that recommended Boostability to my previous employer. I am the guy that got them into this mess.

My advice to anyone is stay clear of Boostability because the entire company is a criminal organization that needs to be shut down by the Government. Boostability operates a phony online snake oil business that labels itself as a top rank SEO firm.
