Boost Mobiles customer service inside the USA is so bad, that an outsourced out of country company, the type we all know so well to be the worst, would look great compared to Boost Mobile's customer service. Most of the companies reps do not speak english, or if they do, speak it extremely poorly. They don't know their own services, or any normal phone service. I tried to purchase call fowarding, they had no clue what that was.
I asked for visual voice mail, a service they spam advertisements of when running just about any application, yet their system that is supposed to make it easy to activate it, has you call in, and I had to hang up 6 times to prevent the representative from adding or canceling incorrect services because each non english speaking rep that answered, would say "Cancel service?". Obviously they are doing things wrong, if the only english they seem to speak are just the two above words.
If the above isn't enough to warn you away, hows about paying $126 a month for 4 lines that are supposed to be 4g service, including unlimited internet. Their 4g is not true 4g, and their internet is at a crawel, that is when it works. This is anytime, including off peak, and not even have used services like tethering. We paid for the more expensive version of the Stylo 4, to not be able to use data of any type while in a call.
This is extremely bad, especially when I had an emergency where trying to get a call to go through was next to impossible, despite having a cell tower above me, and not being able to get GPS working to give a correct location as GPS too would not work while in call, a very dangeriouse issue.
When asking Boost mobile as to why am I paying for these services and not getting them, was told "We want to provide our customers with the best experience at the lowest cost. Boost phones let you talk on the Boost network while also using data on a Wi-Fi connection. This phone configuration provides the best battery life and the highest LTE data speeds at the lowest cost to you."
So in other words I'm paying $126, to use my own wifi, which by the way, also won't work while in call while at home. Phone service rarely works, and phone battery dies much faster regardless of the above. Putting a different phone to the test, one that lasted hours talk time using a different network, was down to 20% using boost mobile, who in fact is using Sprint, and owned by Sprint as well.
There is no fast data speeds, 4g network is more like 3g. My 1984 C64 with 300 baud modem ran faster then Boost mobile.
Avoid Boost Mobile, and look up competitors where actual customers have left feedback on true experiences in forums that dont belong to the providers before signing up. The few who left posative feedback on Boost Mobiles website, learned too soon, that their great service, was in reality, their phones using their own wifi. Shut out wifi, and see how well Boost runs.
