Anticipating a lovely, relaxing vacation at a beautiful Cancun resort, we booked travel with Bookittravel.com. It turned into a nightmare, requiring hours of stress at the front desk instead of relaxing on the beach or by the pool. The last night of our vacation saw us at the desk with hotel reps for an hour and a half. Not what we anicipated.
We had previously spent almost an hour on the phone on hold with Book It the first morning of our vacation, only to have the Book It representative actually hang up on the agent at the hotel.
The hotel reps indicated to us that other guests were experiencing the same issue, so we were not the only ones affected by their seriously inadequate service.
The final morning, as we were scheduled to board the van to the airport at 5 AM, we were forced to pay the entire resort stay in order to receive the receipt required for that van. Paying twice was the last thing I wanted to do, but I counted on my credit card company to back me up (which they are currently doing).
I, and the party of 4 I travelled with, wish to warn everyone to not ever trust Bookittravel.com with what you expect to be a fantastic, relaxing & extravagant time. They have not lived up to their promises.
Furthermore, finding contact information for them has been difficult at best. I do not trust them. Their customer service is pathetic. Plus, right now I'd like to be enjoying photos of my vacation instead of filing this report.
