In October of 2016, I purchased a Bodum Bistro coffee grinder on Amazon.com. It was being sold by a company called Amazing Deals Online. The machine seemed to be a good grinder, having a "burr" type grinder and all the features that would be good to have on a grinder. It also comes with a one year manufacturers warranty.
In June of 2017, 8 months into the warranty period, the machine quit working. I called Boudum's product support at 1-800-232-6386. They told me that because I purchased the coffee grinder through a "3rd party," and not Amazon.com, they would not hold up their end of the warranty. Furthermore, I was told that I would need to go through Amazing Deals Online to get relief under the warranty.
I spoke with a rep from Amazing Deals Online about the problem. He said I would need to go through Bodum for warranty relief.
I now have 2 companies pointing a finger at each other, and neither one going out of their way to deal with their customer.
My only relief is to now purchase a coffee grinder from another more reputable company. I can and do hold the manufacturer, Bodum, liable regardless of which retiler sold THEIR product. I will never buy another product with the Bodum name on it.
