I saw a technical skiff on Blue Pelican Marinas web-site and went to look at it. I also saw the same ad on craiglsist. The boat was advertised as a 2011 boat, motor and trailer. I talked to the GM Rich and he told me the he knew the owner and the boat was in excelletn condition. He had his mechanics inspect the boat and service the motor. I negoitaited a price and paid for the boat. I picked it up a week later for my son who is a Ranger in the military. The second time out on the boat the engine started stalling. I had him take it in for service and learn the motor was a 2007 and the fuel injectors where clogged from old gas.
The problem is I bought a 2011 motor as indicated in their ad and on my bill of sale. I contacted Rich who directed me to AFLG Investments the parent company. I got a hold of Anthony Russian (813) 943-3431 the owners son who comitted to replacing the motor, but would only communicate by txtd. A few days later I recieved a txtd saying they werent going to do anything for me, since I inspected the boat and VIN numbers twice and took it for a sea trial. Both of those statements are comletely false as I only spent 5 minutes looking at the boat and another 30 minutes negoitiating the price and filling out paperwork in their office. He then committed to replacing the motor again to turn around and tell me they would take the old motor in on trade at 2007 NADA value and I would have to pay the full retail difference of $1,775 for a newer motor.
Stay away from these dishonest people at all cost. They should be ashamed for screwing one of our young service men.
