My wife and I contacted Black Knight Akita's from a local ad she has posted in Sacramento, CA. The person Danielle Romeo does not live in CA, she lives in VA! We sent her a $500.00 deposit and then we found out she has lied to many people including other breeders. I did see she is has been in many civil actions against Mrs Romeo. We too are contacting local Police and an attorney.
I have been scammed by Romeo of Black Knight akitas and bernese mtn dogs, my name is Terry I live in Stockton, CA. please see all these other sites where she is listed as a twisted person who lies and steals from people, We have pictures of her from her as a hooker, and she is not to be trusted with children. I lost a $500.00 deposit from her. She said her dog had been hit by a car and she did not have the deposit to refund to me. THIEF! I do not like her and I will tell the world. ALL THESE COMPLAINTS CANNOT BE IGNORED! SHE HAS SO MANY PEOPLE WHO HATE HER WITH REASON!

I encourage anyone interested in me and my dogs to ask any question they like, to speak with our long list of extended family (not buyers- we don't have that kind of relationship with the people who own and love our dogs) , to look up our animals' certifications at offa.org, to contact the New River Valley Kennel Club where I've been a member in good standing for years, or take any other measures they feel necessary to get whatever information they like.
As trial dates approach for defamation cases against two specific individuals suddenly the same complaints- all unsubstantiated of course- keep popping up on every possible consumer site they can find, identical wording and different names. Color me shocked!
I haven't lived in or done any 'business' in California since early 2010. I rarely breed at all- my last litter was in 2013 (two puppies, placed with wonderful families in Louisiana and Oklahoma- the Ok dog is a working Service Dog!), before that 2011 litter of four and one pup is in Canada, another in Kansas, one in Nebraska (another service dog!) one in Florida, before that it was 2009 and that was just two pups- one is happy and healthy in New jersey and the other is in Oregon. I do a lot more hands on rescue for groups like Big East Akita Rescue, Rakki Inu Akita Rescue, Akita Rescue Mid Atlantic , SOS (Save our Seniors) and others than I breed. Go ahead and contact them for references. When a RESCUE group gives a BREEDER a thumbs up, you're doing things right! :)
Of course there's no substantiating elements to these posts- no police repots, no investigator's name and number, no real full name of the alleged 'victim'. No dates of when anything allegedly occurred. No contracts, no emails- just a lot of smoke.

If a purebred puppy with a verifiable pedigree, generations of known temperament and from health tested lines you can check for yourself through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals isn't important to you, then PLEASE consider adopting! We'd be happy to refer you to rescue groups near you, just ask! We can also refer you to a breeder near you who can help you find your new best friend- as I said before, we breed very infrequently and typically have a wait list but we can hlep you find a reputable person who will be there for you for life. Get the right puppy not the RIGHT NOW puppy!
