This shop USED to be one of my most favorite places to go. For a long time I was going there almost every weekend to purchase something. They had amazing customer service and they always made sure that everything was taken care of. I have literally spent thousands of dollars at this shop. Here is my most recent interaction:
Me:
Hey ya! I wanted to check in with you and see what your BVLA stock is looking like and see if you could send me some pics of what you have so I know if I need to make a trip down :)
I called and they had an opening at the shop while the person I sent this message to was out of the office. I showed up for my appointment time to just look at and purchase jewelry. I had called before hand to see if they had some of the items that I would be interested in due to the fact that it is an hour trip for me to get to this shop. When I arrived I checked in and they let me know where to stand which I did.
I waited much past my appointment time when I was finally assisted. I was treated like I needed to hurry and just buy something. I ended up spending around $1500 at the shop. They made me go wait in my car while they packaged the jewelry and then let me know that I took too long as apparently I was supposed to do the entire transaction in 15 minutes or less. I was completely disappointed with what I ended up with and the bars and things were too long and not the right fit at all. Of course I cannot take anything back.
The next day:
I get this email:
I have been out of the office since Friday, so I didn't receive this email until today! I saw that you were in the studio yesterday, did you find something to your liking? Let me know if I can help with anything else!
My Reply:
I did buy some things. To be honest I was super disappointed. I called ahead and asked if there was a lot of mercury mist in the shop (we are talking day on appointment) They told me there were. I get there and they are't the person that assisted me was a tall red haired gentleman. I let him know I needed some posts and then I would also like to purchase some jewelry. He took forever looking things up to see if there were multiples and then made me go wait in my car to sanitize everything and then basically was like you took too long to shop after I spent like $1500.
I am not even really happy with the things I got he didn't give me posts that would fit where we talked about them going and it just overall was a horrible experience.
Then I get a phone call while I am at work:
I could not understand whom I was speaking with but they basically indicated that I was the issue. That they had personally trained the employee and that I misbehaved somehow while I was in the shop. .... I stood there waiting long after my appointment time. I disagreed with the person's point of view on the phone and then we sat there with literally dead air. So I hung up the phone being that I am at work and the person was obviously not trying to help me in the least.
I wrote back to Alex:
Hey,
Just got a super rude call from I guess Angela who I could hear talking after I answered the phone. Anyway. I love you and would love to stay in touch but I just don't appreciate how the business is run and I think that will probably be my last visit to the shop. I don't even know the purpose of the call rather than to leave an even more bitter taste in my mouth... I did precisely what I was told to do in the shop and even helped customers because they wanted to look at my ears. I hope to connect with you outside of here.
Talk soon.
This was the reply:
It was I who called you, and honestly I don't appreciate that you hung up on me before our conversation was finished. The purpose of the call was to convey that while we appreciate your business, we don't appreciate the entitled attitude that comes along with it. We try our best to be accommodating to you, and you do not give us the same courtesy.
I could give you a long list of examples on how you constantly disrespect our studio, but it would be a waste of time for both of us. Since you no longer want to visit, I have gone ahead and blocked you from booking using our online tool, and made a note in your account that you no longer want to be in the studio.
So in a nutshell, I am left with several pieces of very expensive jewelry I am unhappy with. Some that has broken and I have no way to repair and the shop has turned into a cattle mill essentially.
WALK NOT RUN AWAY FROM THIS SHOP
Do yourself a HUGE favor! Go to SpearMe in Carson instead. The staff there is awesome!
