On Sept 14th I read an advertisement on Facebook regarding a 4K 10-300X40mm super telephoto zoom monocular telescope. I felt that it was an item that I could use and placed an order with a company called Birthmoon.
I received a confirmation that the order was on it's way on Sept 24th.
As of October 21st I still had not received the item and sent an email to the company requesting information about the shipment. Several emails back and forth for a week with no tracking details provided or any resolution from the seller. The seller insisted that I remain patient as they could not recall the package.
I contacted PayPal as they were the ones I paid for the item with and submitted a dispute. PayPal stated that the company said I had received the item and provided a tracking number. The tracking number shows the item was supposedly delivered on October 9th by the post office.
I find it very interesting that the tracking number details were not updated in the PayPal system until November 6th after I had filed a claim with them.
I have never received this item. PayPal states that I will not receive a refund as the seller claims the item was delivered. I have emailed the company again on November 10th and have not received a reply from them regarding this matter.
I have filed a formal complaint with econsumer.gov so that hopefully this company can be put out of business. As for PayPal, as soon as I can pay off what I owe them, I won't be doing business with them again.
