I purchased 2022-1 maps from BimmerMap.com, downloaded the maps and activation code files and attempted to install them. Not only was the installation unsuccessful, my vehicle lost its entire navigation system and satellite radio.
When I contacted “Nick”, he was barely willing to give me the time of day after he had my money. I ended up having to take the vehicle to my local BMW dealership, where they found that the vehicle’s head unit had failed due to my attempt at installing the map software from BimmerMap.com.
It took them over 2 days to get the head unit reset, faults cleared, the satellite radio to work, and to install the new maps. Needless to say, I did NOT save money by downloading maps from BimmerMap.com. To the contrary, I lost that money AND had to pay BMW over 3 times the amount to get them to fix what had gotten corrupted.
I asked “Nick” for a refund ... three times, with no response, even though the website says “100% Satisfaction Guarantee”. Yes, HIS satisfaction, not yours or mine! All signs for the buyer to BEWARE!
