We took our Dodge to Big Jim's Diesel to have a New motor put in. Paid him 15,000 dollars up front. He convinced us we needed to purchase New injectors (at the cost of $5000) to uphold the warranty of the engine. He also told us that he would have our truck ready within 48 hours after we paid him. It took him a month to put it back together, but could not get it running. After 4 fuel pumps it finally started. We picked up the truck but it was not running correctly. It had no powers at take off and it smokes like a coal train all the time. We returned with the truck to have him look at it and he told us it was the turbo. We were sceptical of this because we New that it was good . We took it to another mechanic that has a computer and they tested it . It came up that the injectors were not putting out correctly . We.contacted him and he admitted that he broke one injector off over tightening it and put in.a.secondary injector. With all this we got suspicious about the other injectors after the report from the other mechanic. We did our own investigating and found out he purchased orielys auto parts injectors at only 200.00 dollars a piece. But charged us 700 dollars apiece for mopar injectors . We asked him to replace what he Put in for what we paid for . He refused to and said he would no longer be working on.our truck and to have our lawyer contact him . We have tried to contact him over and over for to fix what he did not and messed up, but he refused to answer our calls.
These people. Took a month to get a new turbo into my truck. When I picked it up it had red lights on all over the dash and an extra 1000 miles on the odometer. Of course it was Friday night they just left it outside with the lets in it for me to pick up. By Saturday my truck was dead waiting on road service. Went by Jim's Monday morning to get a receipt for work done, my warranty documents they removed from my truck, and to see this $4500 turbo they pulled out. The owner, his son, and a mechanic came after myself and my husband with crowbars. I went to another shop and found out it was never a turbo issues the codes being given were simply an alternator ($300 bill) but they found that all the bolts on my air conditioning compressor had been loosened so that needed to be replaced now. I'm a disabled woman with MS and my husband is a disabled vet and this is how he choose to treat us.
Sure it was all billed to the warranty but a $4500 job and damage that cost an additional $1000 job instead of just doing the alternator is just plain dirty. Then to attack us with crowbars?!? I still don't have my documents. I've filed police reports and consulted attorneies. I have the while incident on camera and photos.
