They advertised a Diamond Back Full Suspension Bicycle valued at $2500. The bike they advertised is on Amazon and indeed it sells for $2500+. However the bicycle I received is not a full suspension bike as advertised. The bike I received was a Diamond Back Hatch 3 hard tail valued at $775. I bid based on what was advertised not what I actually received which is a much cheaper bike and not full suspension. What they did was false advertising and I wanted to return it for a full refund.
I emailed Bidfta customer support who denied my request. They have what is called "open box", which means the customer buys the item "as is" and accepts any and all damages and shortages. I knew this going in as was willing to accept any damage, however this was a total misrepresentation of what they were selling. I would not have even bid on this bike had I known it was a different bike. They claim I should went to the auction site to determine the condition ect., which is nonsense. In all my correspondence with them they have never addressed the fact they advertised the wrong thing.
We had been using Bidfta for 2 months and all items were fine. The company has 1 'curteousy' refund. we bid on a trunk bed advertised as grey trunk bed according to their ad. We wanted to pick it up and found that the bed was pink and half of it was missing. They advertised it as 'apears news'. No missing box 1 out of 2, like with other items. There were only 2 side boards....and pink. So, thankfully we received a refund, but did not know that it would be counted towards our 'curteosy' refund as they advertised it completely wrong and mislead in the ad.
Few weeks later we bid on a headboard which we picked up. We opened it up at home and found a completely different item in the box. It was a baby jumper. I wrote to complain and was told that I had used my curteousy refund (that they made a mistake with but blame it on the customer). So, when calling them out on this, they ignored it and denied it and said that I would not get a refund back. This company has shady practices and therefore stay away, at least in the Phoenix location. I have moved over to another auction site that is far more accurate in their advertising of their products and far more efficient. Stay away.
