This review is for the service department only. I prepaid for maintenance. Everything went well the first few times (minus the attempts to upsale for services you don't need and and the average at least hour and a half wait time). I made an appointment last week and was told by a woman I believe named Camia (not sure how to spell it) that today is my final "prepaid maintenance". Just now I was told that is not factual and I am looking at $110 maintenance I was not prepared for. Apparently even though I had the name of the person, nothing said will be honored. Last time I was here I drove the 35 minutes for nothing because they set the maintenance light wrong in my car. A woman named Kim Vest on October 6 at 10:20 am told me they would give me a $100 Visa gift card on my next visit. So now I'm using the "gift" towards services that I was told last week was part of my package. What a rip-off!!!!! I will NEVER buy a car or have services here again. No one was even remotely apologetic. Up until today I was a satisfied customer and referred a few people. After today not only will I not be back I will tell everyone I know to steer clear. Short sighted customer service and if they continue practices like this they will have a terrible reputation. I wrote and dated everything to avoid this type of thing and it didn't matter this time because they don't back their reps' word. Buyer beware!!!!
2007 toyota prius had warning on screen "transmission p lock abnormal" that made it so car could not be put into park and emergency brake had to be engaged so car would not roll. Brought it into Bev Smith Toyota for service. Was told it would cost 49.99 for diagnostic. Got call from service dept stating it was water valve assy. Asked why it was not transmission p lock, which was showing on the screen, service dept said "well, it's not so easy to diagnose that" - the diagnostic test shows you need a new water valve assy. They assured us that warning was now off screen and car was working fine. Paid them 785.25 and took car home. The very next morning, got into car and warning on screen came up "transmission p lock abnormal" with same symptoms as before. Took it back to Bev Smith Toyota. Service dept took a part (transmission control module) out of a car that was in for service, put it in my car, and voila - it worked! Then they wanted to charge us another 600.00 to replace what they should have replaced in the first place. Brought car home, went online, removed transmission control module myself (took about 5 minutes), and ordered part (50.00). So, I paid all of those service hours to have something diagnosed that was not diagnosed and ended up doing the work myself. Bev Smith Toyota is a ripoff and I will never do business with them again. We have bought a few cars from them in the past...but no more! I don't mind paying for service, but I expect the car to work when I get it home. They refused to refund any of the labor charges, which I feel they should have. Save yourself alot of heartburn and money, avoid Bev Smith Toyota. They say they want to make their customers happy - but all they want to do is seperate you from your money! Consider yourselves forewarned!
