Saw a cute pair of shoes and a sweater on an ad through Facebook and placed an order with best2clothes on Oct 14. Got an email that said I’d receive another email when items shipped which would include tracking info.
About a week later I contacted them asking why I had not received any shipping info. Someone replied and said please patiently wait. I waited approximately 3 weeks more and still nothing. Emailed again. At one point they said their items come from a warehouse in China and they hoped I’d get some kind of shipping info soon. I let them know I would be filing a dispute if they didn’t send shipping info.
I finally had to file a dispute with my credit card company. It’s now December and I have never received any info from them about shipping so my credit card company made the reversal permanent and I got my money back. Avoid this “company “. I tried to call the phone number on their website and it in invalid.
Saw their ad on facebook and I purchased these boots from Best2Clothes on Oct. 14, and paid with paypal. ($22.98 + $6.99 shipping) I got an email confirming purchase from "shishi"/dannygadget.
On Oct. 23 I had not received any notice of shipment, so emailed asking when to expect them. Oct 24 I got a reply saying "our products send from our Chinese warehouse, usually, our goods will arrive in your place within 15-35 working days please wait patiently Best wishes."
OK, I can wait two more weeks, or even 5 weeks.
45 days since my order, on Nov 25, I emailed again saying I had not received my boots, and that I was running out of patience. Asked for an expected date of arrival, or should I file a paypal claim?
By now I had looked up reviews of this company - and others using the same boot photos, but with different names - and the reviews were HORRIBLE. If I had checked before ordering, I might not have ordered them. But I did, and by now I was curious as to whether or not this really was a "scam." Would I ever really receive anything? And if I never did, I could always file that paypal claim - up to 180 days.
Later that day they replied saying, "it is in transit now Perhaps the customs has delayed the time. please do not worry, and wait more patiently. you will get it soon. best wishes."
"Soon" did not happen. - LOL On Dec. 14 I wrote "It has now been 2 MONTHS since my order was confirmed. Please give me some tracking/shipping info!!! Do not just say, 'it is in transit' - I want tracking numbers that show my boots were actually shipped and the expected date of arrival. Thank you. TJ"
On Dec 15 I did get an email with tracking info and a link to 17 TRACK/ALL-IN-ONE TRACKING site. It did show that a logistics order had been created, but not until Nov. 27th. Then a bunch of tracking from Dec. 12 showing that origin post is preparing shipment. - all in Chinese - LOL But you could translate to English.
On Dec. 23 tracking showed they finally arrived at ISC Los Angeles and then began to be tracked thru USPS facilities.
On Dec. 26 they left LA and began their trek to Louisiana.
On Dec. 28 my mail carrier left me a pink slip stating that my boots had arrived, but I would need to sign for them. That was on a Saturday, PO office closed, so I didn't go to town until today, Dec. 31. I did finally get my boots.
So here is my review...
They did not come in a box - only a plastic bag. They were folded up in another plastic sleeve inside that.
They fit slightly larger than my normal size 6. But socks can fix that.
They do not have any tags for size or brand name at all anywhere on them or the shipping envelopes. The description on the outer label of the mailing bag calls them "rain gear" but I suspect they would not do well in rainy weather, although they do have rubber lug soles. There is hardly any insole or padding inside for comfort.
They are cute though, does that count? LOL
Anyway, my conclusion is that the company is NOT a total scam, but I suspect they are knockoff artists, copying some other company's real boots.
They did literally come on a "slow boat from China!" But they are here.
