When they arrived this husband and wife team they continued to harass our office by doing door to door marketing. I then agreed to an appointment after they made several attempts to reach me. They offered a free podcast and online advertising for our community. Once they arrived they showed us what they do and said the podcast was free this time and they also put a small add in the magazine with our company name etc.
I agreed but was in a rush so they pulled out their ipad and had me sign a contract thet they said I could cancel and It was for 1 year. Long story short I canceled after 6 months as I didn't have time to do the podcast nor did I see any results. I received a letter sending us to collections in the amount of $27931.00 For 2 podcasts and a couple pictures in a 10 page magazine. I am seeking an attorney as this was fraud and harassment.
My first ad they forgot my telephone #...on the ad Then the rep said she would refund me the money...I said ok.... Have text and email to prove... Then she said she can't...She can only give me a bigger and on the next issue...I said no and wanted to cancel... Then she told me she is only a rep not the owner of the publication and that I would have to deal with them... Then all the collection letters etc...started Now a collection company is calling every day.
Totally only interested in collection.....Not a single call from their ad that promised awesome results.. go figure...They forgot to put our company number on our ad on the first one... Then...They ran the 2nd ad ...No calls and I kept telling them not to ever Run my ads..Any more.... They were paid in full for 2 ads costing $400 plus bucks. Only one had my # and they said we won't run your ads but you have to pay for the whole contract.
Then the rep said she would refund my money because we are a seasonal company....I agreed to that and then she said she couldn't and could only give me a larger and on the 2nd one...I didn't want a larger ad.
Then they charged my card again for the 2nd add .....before we even git 1st ad resolved...I thought I was signing an ad approval, not a contract. HerI pad wasn't working at my office so I thought I signed a approval for her services and next I know they say it's a 3-year contract. Never saw the contract until they sent it to me on email...Where I believe my signature was transferred after she got an internet connection. I never sign contracts for that type of length...We are a seasonal pressure washing company. They got paid for 2 ads up front then the first and was a month late and didn't include our company telephone number...O calls on that ad...I wanted to cancel at that time and again before that was resolved my card was charged again....Now they say I owe the $9,000 plus The dates are even wrong on the copy that they sent to me at my request.
