Best Choice Roofing Reviews
Best Choice Roofing claimed they would charge our home owners insurance for a "new" roof. Also claimed was if any outstanding charges were involved they Best Choice Roofing would absorbe the cost.
Best Choice Roofing placed a lein against my house for the sum of 1585.00 dollars for cost that were not recovered from insurance.
I have recorded a conversation with a representative from Best Choice Roofing where it was stated that the costs would be taken care of.
My insurance paid for leak damage in two bedrooms. It has been over 6 months and no interior work has been done. Roof repair outside was done. Very pleased with quality and workmanship. I stepped on a nail outside left by the roofers. Had to go to Urgent Care,3 hours. Had to have a tetanus shot. Pickup a handful on other nails left by the roofers. Try to call several times but mail boxes are full.
On May 11th, I had a new roof installed by BCR roofing due to Wind Damage-missing shingles. On 08/01 I noticed a bubble the size of a cereal bowl protruding from the wall. It was filled with water. I contacted the rep, he came out the next day Took pictures advise me that it was their error and my warranty would take care of it. Three weeks went by and after numerous calls and voice messages I was advised the rep was no longer with the company. A second gentleman came out and took pictures and advise me of the same. The work is guaranteed under my warranty. Three more weeks went by and I called to see when the repair work will begin and I was told the leak was my fault because of bad wood around the chimney and I was told about it and didn't do anything. Out right total lies. I just went thru Hurricane Irma and took on more water. All documents from BCR has nothing about rotten chimney wood.
Permits are still in my possession , city of Jax never checked the finished product, and I was not asked to put a sign in my yard advertising the roofing company like a neighbor two blocks over. I smell a RAT! I never had a leak prior to this new roof. I am a struggling, single, educator that cannot afford out of pocket costs. I hope this complaint finds an Attorney that can assist me in getting justice.
I was hired by Best Choice Roofing (BCR) to install a foam roof for a client of thiers. The project was to install a spray foam roof on top of a flat roof on a residence. The other half of the project I was NOT contracted for was to tear down and build a massive wood awnig.
I was given instruction to cooridinate with the carpenter they hired (as a sub, apparently they use all sub contractors for all jobs). Long story short, they kept pushing the wood awning back. It was excuse after excuse that their carpenter got a DWI and other stories.
I was asked if I had a crew to build the awning. Since the awning needed to be done before I could advance the project I reluctantly agreed to demo and install the awning with my own crews. I paid all my own crews to demo the awning, did property clean up and roof loaded all new material.
It was clear that the client was getting tired of getting the run around from BCR and my project was 99% done. BCR owed me approx. $10,000 on the roof install. One morning we showed up to work and the client asked that we leave the job because they wanted to sue BCR.
The client used foul language against my installers even though the delays had nothing to do with me or my people. They were just so heated with BCR that they wanted to take it out on anyone.
It was a sad situation and we were the ones trying to keep the client happy. I paid a lot of labor out of my pocket for a job that had nothing to do with me. We only tried to help.
BCR or Best Choice roofing in San Antonio was the worst choice I ever made. They gave me the run around for my $10,000 until I the window passed for me to file a claim in small claims court. Eventually they stopped answering my calls.
I'm not mad or bitter but you might think twice before hiring this circus.
As a side note I went to do a job for someone in Leon Valley and she was firing them off the job for similar antics. Smh.
