So many red flags with this company. Firstly, I applied and within less than an hour I received an email inviting me for interview. This email was followed up with two text messages. The second text said they tried calling me which was a complete LIE. I asked them to via text to give me a call back because I had questions first. The next day I received another text and another email. Again they claimed they called me they LIED again. I kept researching the company and nothing came back but there dry website. I had a feeling it was one of those door to door companies that’s why I was hesitant to schedule an in person with them. I couldn’t find any LinkedIn profile or legit information on the HR Director Daniel Paniagua another flag. I googled the address 690 8th Ave, 5th Fl, New York, NY 10036 and that lead me to all the answers. It looks like they may have changed their name as the address links back to Troy International, Allure and a bunch more. See this article https://tamzarianarmin2.wordpress.com/tag/690-8th-avenue-5th-floor/
They still have not called after requesting several times.
This is not a legit job, the second email made no mention of the job I was applying for but stated “We are still looking for new energetic candidates to join our team in NYC! Before we move further please double check the hours and location will work for you:
* We are looking for full-time candidate (We also have a PT position open which requires 3 days per week)
* We are located in Times Square, NYC.”
I would just say do your due diligence first before running off to interview for jobs. Save your time and money.
This company has to be a scam. For those of you looking for a job in NYC. If the company says they are located at 690 8th Ave, 5th floor, ignore the email. I had the unfortunate opportunity to go to an "interview" at this address. They try to say they are a "clearing house" for like 10 other companies. All the companies there are fake. If you get an invitation from a company at this address, save your time and money and ignore it.
I keep a doc with companies I've applied for, I applied for Berkshire Hathaway Company before but not Berkshire Executives (they are clearly trying to copy a legit name). I got a "my manager loves your resume and would like you to interview for the position" when I asked what about my resume and what position, he replied back with an entry level customer service sales rep, but nothing about my resume or why after 10 years of working I'd love to go to entry level. I googled the address/company and finding no legit info on the company or on Daniel Paniagua I knew it was fake. They did try several texts and emails begging me to schedule an interview while completely ignoring me spelling out concerns (mostly to mess with them and see what they'd say). Any company you didn't apply for is a scam (who knows how they got my info), one that begs you to come in is a scam, and one that requests interview immediately after submitting is a scam (how could they have looked through it?) So just don't go in and waste your time.
I used one click apply for than company on indeed.com and less than 10 min ago got an email from [email protected] but signed by Daniel Panaigua, HR director. That email was followed up by a text message and another email thanking me for scheduling an interview with Hiring manager, but signed by same person again. Since I was few block away from their place (690 8th Ave, 5th Floor, New York, NY 10036) I came in. Place was filthy dirty with very loud music and some dude at the front desk who doesn't even know properly to speak. Place is a sh**hole. When he asked me: "how may I help you" I replied "You ? You cannot even help yourself" and left that dumpster.
Please be careful and don't buy into this scam or companiues like this one.
